Nolan, Evalyn, and Kaede got off the horse-drawn carriage. They arrived at Hoshigawa Port, the first place they set foot on after their long journey from the central continent.
"Kaede, are you sure about this? I mean, this is selfish, you know? As a princess, you're breaking imperial rules," Nolan said seriously.
He was still trying to persuade her. After all, the woman was as stubborn as his mother.
Kaede waved her left hand. "No need to persuade me anymore. I've made up my mind. Besides, I'll just return after I meet my sister. You don't have to worry."
Nolan was speechless for a moment before sighing deeply.
"Alright, I won't persuade you anymore. But if you get into trouble, don't blame me, okay?"
Since Kaede remained adamant, there was nothing he could do.
However, Nolan had another plan—to inform his mother and ask her to bring Kaede home immediately after meeting her.
