The words of the God of Knowledge were an irresistible temptation for any living being. Even disregarding the psychological and mental manipulation involved, what it was offering could easily drive any Awakener into madness. This was the perfect mastery over human nature.
As long as one still harbored a sense of greed, they would fall into its trap.
On the surface, Daniel remained completely unmoved, but inside, he was indeed stirred. However, he quickly regained his composure and reminded himself to stay true to his original resolve. No matter what the God of Knowledge said, he would treat it as if he had heard nothing at all.
Just as he was about to dismiss the thoughts, the voice of the God of Knowledge echoed in his mind once again.
