Chapter 88 - Chapter 19 part 5

Mrs Lilin had come back from work to find her child, Harold seeming to be pacing around the corridor with his hands gripping his hair as she looked at him with confusion. "Harold, what is matter with you?" She questioned before he replied with fear in his voice "Alexa is gone! I remember her leaving to visit her friends and something like that but it's been 7 hours and I still can't find her. I called her friends but they said they have no sign of her." And at that response, Mrs Lilin's heart completely dropped. Alexa was a responsible child and rarely ever did she go missing for long periods of time and to have her missing meant that something was wrong. "Have you checked everywhere?" Harold nodded and said "Yeah I checked everywhere in the house, hell I repeatedly looked around. There is no sign of her." Mrs Lilian sighed feeling her panic increase, she asked "What about everyone you called?" Harold soon said "Well I actually gotten an answer from Lili surprisingly enough. She said that she saw her moving through the pavement towards the shops but couldn't get anything else out." That made Mrs Lilin a little relieved but the fact that Alexa was still missing didn't help her. She said "Give me a moment, I got to call someone."

She picked up her phone and called 999 as she heard a male voice say "Yes?" Before she said "My child is missing and I'm starting to be worried, my son said that she been gone for a while." The male voice soon said "Okay, before we continue on, can you give the specific details of her? Like how she looks, her age, legal gender and appearance?" Mrs Lilin agreed before saying "Yeah, I can do that. Her name is Alexa Lilin, she is around 14 years old, she is a girl and she has light brown hair, peach face, brown eyes, white t-shirt, black trousers and a scarf." She said as the male voice answered with "We will search that up. Just give us a moment." And she heard the voice stop as she went back to the kitchen as she saw Harold sit down on the couch as he mumbled to himself about feeling like he couldn't protect her and what he could have done as an older brother. Mrs Lilin sat down next to him as he said "She's what? 14? And she experienced this. Everything." He turned to look at the windows as before turning to his mother "Did you know that-" He paused struggling to say what he needed to say before finally saying it "Did you know that she was in a war?" And Mrs Lilin immediately paused with her eyes wide "She's in... A war? My child?" She questioned in disbelief before she heard her phone ring.

She soon opened the call with her expression now terrified from the revelation as she heard him say "Okay, so we tried to get in contact with your child but to no avail. We tried to track where she is but we got no signal from her location." Harold who was close to her heard and turned to listen carefully. "What other information did you get?" She asked as he said "Not much but we have detected her last location around a far area near the far edge of Millton forest. That's all we could get." Mrs Lilin nodded and said "Thank you. I will see what I can do." She closed her phone before saying to Harold. "We are going into the car, follow me." She said as Harold replied "What are we doing?" Before Mrs Lilin said "We are investigating that area. I can't afford to lose her." Harold soon went to the back of the car while Mrs Lilin opened the door and got in the car as she began to drive off through the area. She soon asked "Your telling me my daughter is in a war?" She looked with disbelief unsure if she should believe him. "Yeah, she has battle scars all over herself and looks absolutely exhausted. She's in such a bad position."

His usual rough attitude has calmed down for a moment. "Shi- I mean shoot." He was about to swear but cut himself off as she glared at him. Soon they arrived at the park as Mrs Lilin got up and went outside of the car and Harold went out as well. Mrs Lilin said "Harold, stay close to me." Harold was about to argue that more land could be covered and she turned and said "I can't risk losing you." Which made him pause as the weather was cloudy and cool. She came with him through the sandy pathway and opened up the wooden gate at the front of the park. It was mostly empty but was dense with floors covered in large blades of grass and trees with fallen leaves that was dripping with water. Multiple lines were seen on the bark of the trees as they made all sort of curving patterns. They walked across the grassy area before Harold noticed something in the edge of the park "Wait, I think I see something over there." She turned rubbing her eyes since she didn't see very far and put on her glasses. It was a small area which looked to be separated from the main forest. There was fallen branches and large stuff covering there but it looked easy to go through.

They went to there as they looked toward the branches and stepped over them as and began to walk through the fallen leaves that felt soft under their shoes and they came to a large open area where there seemed to be a heavy feeling of energy around here. Harold soon said "Mom, you got a shovel?" As she shook her head. He sighed as there wasn't much to look around at "Let's investigate the rest of the park." He said as after 45 minutes they couldn't find anything which made Mrs Lilin's heart fell. Where exactly did Alexa go?
