It was already getting late. Saravia was packing her things to return to the camp, everyone else had already left.
Saravia thinks to herself. — Will everything we're doing really work? If it doesn't, everything so far will have been for nothing…
In the calming silence of that environment, Leviathan appears in Saravia's mind and asks in a doubtful tone. — Why did you choose to help Daytona and follow this path all the way here?
Saravia reflects for a moment and says. — I want to help her because that's the only purpose I have… — And suddenly…
A small golden spear comes flying toward Saravia's face, she barely dodges it and becomes confused about what just happened. She grabs the blade and examines it, but nothing unusual.
— What… happened? What is this?
Saravia decides to take the blade back to the camp where Raphaella, Daytona, Nylon, and Martin were. She gathers her things and leaves.
(Meanwhile in the City…)
Metatron was walking through the city of the Ring of Peace while carrying some groceries he had bought, but he feels Raydillon's signal summoning him again.
The groceries disappear, possibly to his home, and he is teleported to Raydillon's hall, where he was sitting on his throne.
Raydillon was more serious than ever, that floating eye that replaced his head was gone, now he had the form of a "normal" man, just much bulkier than before.
His body was completely white and had no mouth or nose, yet he could still speak, along with the halo with thorns floating above his head and his serious eyes.
Metatron kneels. — What do you need, my lord? — he asks.
Raydillon stands up. — Summon our 100 thousand Virtues to a certain location, I found something extremely useful, I will check and confirm something…
— After some time passes and all the Virtues are dead when you go there, inform me, this may reveal something important.
Metatron nods. — Understood, I will summon the Virtues to that location and notify you.
— Go. — says Raydillon, as Metatron teleports away. Then Raydillon thinks to himself, in an enraged tone. — The fury I feel toward that traitor is no joke…
(Meanwhile, at the Camp…)
Daytona was eating a roasted flying fish that she had caught herself in the nearby river and prepared herself. As she eats, she looks at Nylon, who was sitting beside her, and asks.
— Hey Nylon, did you recover well after the battle against Lucifer? You haven't been training and you're still covered in bandages. — she says, biting a piece of the fish.
Nylon watches the fire burning, he looks at Daytona and says. — Yes, I'm recovering well, my Avangard is still broken, but I can manage it. — Daytona says nothing, just nods.
Along the way, Saravia was analyzing that spear a lot. After a few minutes of walking, she reaches the camp, leaves her things in her locker and goes to Raphaella, who was sitting with the others by the fire.
Saravia nudges Raphaella. — Raphaella, this small spear almost hit my face just now, I don't know what it is. — She shows the spear to Raphaella.
Raphaella becomes unsure and inspects the spear, then something awakens in her. — Raydillon… — Everyone widens their eyes.
Then she says, a bit nervous. — I… know what this is. — She stands up. — Raydillon sent this to try to track the energy of one of us using this spear and identify us through it.
Raphaella looks at Nylon. — Don't touch this. — Nylon nods.
Raphaella turns and says. — I'm going to check things with Ghost and see how everything is going, time is running out. — She releases her wings and flies off to Ghost's cabin.
But… before Raphaella leaves, Daytona notices that the feathers on Raphaella's wings seem too exposed, too few… She knew what was happening to Raphaella.
As soon as Raphaella disappears from sight, Daytona stands up, grabs her Kōken and says. — I'm going after her, stay here.
Saravia stands up first, apparently worried, and grabs Daytona by the shoulder. — But what are you going to do?
— I have to check what's happening with Raphaella, I can't let her… — Daytona walks away, she summons a pair of improvised red wings from her back and takes off after Raphaella.
After some time, Raphaella finally arrives at Ghost's secret cabin, intending to analyze and understand the full progress of the antidote he is preparing.
She enters the cabin, Ghost notices her presence and turns around. — Ah, you here, what is it? — he says, standing up from his chair to grab a syringe.
Raphaella approaches, looking around. — So… Ghost, how are things? Our time is running out and I need you to speed up the antidote process.
Ghost looks at Raphaella and responds in a serious tone. — It's almost done, I just need to organize the cells so they work in sequence and then merge, that will take until tomorrow afternoon.
Seconds later, Daytona arrives at the place, she asks to herself. — Why does it have to be so far? What a pain… — She looks around and sees the cabin, she decides to go there.
Raphaella senses Daytona's energy, she steps out of the cabin and meets her. Then Raphaella asks Daytona. — What are you doing here? Why did you follow me?
Daytona says. — I wanted to know what's going on with you! You seem very tense lately, and I also wanted to know about the antidote.
Raphaella sighs, seeming a bit uncomfortable. — Yes! I'm fine, just a bit thoughtful these days…
Daytona understands and decides not to push too much, she approaches Raphaella and places her hands on her shoulders, then she says.
— Look, don't worry about these things, I don't know how the antidote is going but Ghost must be doing a good job, everything will work out, we will defeat Raydillon, no matter the cost!
Raphaella smiles at Daytona, she was confident in what they were going to do. After that short moment, Ghost appears at the cabin door.
— If you're going to make out, go somewhere else, seriously. — he says, somewhat ironic. — Anyway, the antidote is almost ready, still tonight.
Raphaella and Daytona look at each other, Raphaella says. — Then let's put this into action tonight, it's now or never, our time is running out.
Raphaella looks at Ghost. — Try to finish it as fast as possible. — Ghost nods.
Raphaella turns toward where she came from, the camp. — Let's train a bit more, Daytona, every bit of experience, even small, will be useful.
Daytona decides to go with Raphaella, but when she looks to the side…
An army of angels, nearly 100 thousand, armed and armored, coming toward them. — Raphaella… — Daytona nudges Raphaella. — Look at that…!
Raphaella looks at that army, shocked. — They are Virtues! Combat angels!
— What do we do?! — Daytona exclaims, her hand already on the hilt of her Kōken.
Raphaella then says, more calmly. — We'll have to eliminate all of them if we don't want to be detected by Raydillon.
Daytona just nods, a bit unsure, then thinks to herself. — There are too many… but I'll try.
Daytona slowly draws her Kōken from its sheath, she takes a deep breath and focuses. — Kōken Akakagami, Eleventh Element, Mirrors of Misfortune: Cataclysm.
Daytona charges into the middle of that crowd, with just a few movements, her Kōken transforms into a kind of flesh blade and releases an ability that creates dozens of massive-scale cuts, these cuts "explode" into blood vessels and mouths biting from all possible directions and impossible angles. Nearly half are already dead.
Raphaella watches that form of Daytona's sword and is genuinely shocked, she thinks to herself. — What did I create… this is insane…
Raphaella stops thinking and decides to attack that army as well, from afar she uses her ability. — Kaminari no Megami, Sixth Element, Rapture. — Raphaella creates a huge sphere of energy in the sky, that sphere releases an absurd electric discharge onto those angels, killing most of them.
Daytona approaches Raphaella and says. — Only a few left… let's finish this quickly before this draws attention somehow!
Raphaella and Daytona join forces and kill them one by one, using strikes and abilities until none of those angels remain.
Daytona had gotten a bit tired from the number of movements she executed, she looks at Raphaella and says. — Let's go back quickly and tell everyone the antidote is almost ready. — Raphaella nods.
Saravia was punching an old tree trunk, her hand was very calloused but she didn't stop, then Martin appears behind her and asks. — Hey, Saravia! Want to train?
Saravia stops punching the tree and looks at Martin. — Yeah, sure, I needed that. — The two start training right there, exchanging blows and abilities, without destroying everything.
It was already night. After running a few kilometers, they finally return to the camp, everyone was training until they spot both of them, Martin was the first to go talk to them.
Martin runs to Daytona, a bit worried and curious. — You two disappeared for a while, what happened? Daytona scared us when she suddenly flew off.
Daytona sighs. — We went over there to talk to Ghost, he told us the antidote is almost ready and that it will probably be ready tonight.
A few minutes pass, night has already fallen and everyone is sitting around the campfire, Daytona decides to talk about the plan she had been preparing.
She takes a deep breath and speaks firmly. — I prepared a plan for us up to this point against Raydillon… — Daytona explains the entire plan to the group, everyone nods, some a bit nervous.
