The rain of gold coins above the stone temple immediately triggered the most brutal and nonsensical aerial battle in theme park history.
Envy moved quickly, firing arrows from her crossbow in rapid succession.
Zwing! Zwing! Zwing! Three purple portals opened simultaneously in the air.
Togil, with agility beyond normal human reason, jumped into the first portal and a second later appeared right above the pile of gold coins.
"(Come on, just a little more!)"
But before his hands could scoop up the coins, pitch-black darkness struck from below.
Steve used Pure Darkness to create a pillar of shadow that propelled his body upward like a rocket.
"Don't be so harsh, bro Togil," he exclaimed. Tendrils of darkness emerged from Steve's back, trying to sweep the coin area clean.
Togil clicked his tongue in annoyance, his killer instinct flaring up.
He immediately pulled a grappling hook from his inventory, attached it to the nearest rail pillar to swing away, and then threw a barrage of stun bombs at Steve's dark tendrils.
BAM! BAM! At the same time, the sky was suddenly covered by a giant shadow.
Gampler laughed in satisfaction on his flying train while holding a magic wand.
"Sorry, misters, but this batch is all for auntie!" From his imagination, a giant neon pink glowing whale-catching net appeared, sweeping towards the rain of coins.
Pulchra, who was still gracefully floating in the air, did not stay still.
Her fingers danced quickly, shooting thousands of light threads that hooked onto the gold coins in the air and pulled them away from Gampler's giant net.
"Eugh... Shiro!" Gampler called out, annoyed because his catch was interrupted.
Shiro, who stood calmly behind Gampler, only sighed. His white eyes glinted. "Super duper mini Destroy!"
CRACK! The air around the gold coins suddenly cracked like glass.
The tremendous impact of spatial energy instantly severed Pulchra's light threads and destroyed Steve's shadow tendrils in a flash.
Pulchra was blown far away, but Steve swiftly dashed with his dark speed to catch Pulchra.
"Careful, senior."
"Y-yes, Steve."
Not stopping there, Shiro pointed his palm downwards. "Gravitation."
A very strong gravitational pull tried to suck the remaining gold coins towards Gampler and Shiro's train.
Seeing his coins about to be stolen, Togil immediately dashed into Envy's portal again, appearing right in front of Shiro's gravitational pull.
With his hunter instinct, Togil threw an electromagnetic jammer from his inventory which instantly disrupted the gravity technique completely.
But Steve took advantage of that opening; he condensed Pure Darkness in his hand and punched the air, creating a black shockwave that collided with Shiro's gravity field and Togil's electromagnetic explosion.
BOOOOOOMMM!!!
An explosion of black, white, purple, and golden light energy erupted fiercely in the air, creating a windstorm that knocked everyone back.
When the storm subsided and the smoke faded, the three trains sped side-by-side past the temple which was now clear of coins.
On their respective trains, the three pairs landed panting and with their clothes slightly messy from the god-tier clash of skills earlier.
A brief silence enveloped the mountain track. Only the squeak of train wheels on the iron rails could be heard.
The three of them slowly looked down, seeing the catch in their respective palms.
Steve held... two gold coins.
Togil stared at his hand... two gold coins.
Shiro opened his fist... two gold coins.
Steve stared at the coins in his hand, then glanced at Togil and Shiro, whose trains happened to be running parallel to his.
"I didn't expect I could compete with those two..." Steve muttered. "...but this is still not enough to win!"
Togil clicked his tongue in annoyance while extracting the coins into his train. "Damn, only 2,shit."
.....
The mountain track climbed sharply again after passing the now-empty temple.
Cold wind hit the participants' faces as the three trains sped almost parallel. Metal wheels squeaked loudly on the winding rails on the cliffside.
A few seconds ago, the sky was filled with explosions of strange and nonsensical abilities. Now, all that was left was the sound of train engines and the heavy breathing of the participants.
Steve gripped the two gold coins in his hand.
Pulchra behind him was still tidying up her slightly messy hair.
"Junior... that was a bit scary, huh," she muttered.
Steve only smiled faintly, then kept his coins.
In the next lane, Togil leaned his elbow on the steering wheel while clicking his tongue.
Envy behind him opened a small portal in her hand then closed it again; she handed a drink bottle to try to calm down the annoyed Togil.
"Be patient, Togil, it's okay," Envy said sincerely with her wide smile.
On the other side of the track, Gampler still looked annoyed.
"Huhuhu~ Even though I almost got all of it..."
Shiro stood calmly behind him, staring straight at the rails ahead.
But the rails they were passing on began to shake violently, "Ehh–" startling the three of them simultaneously.
The rails that previously followed the mountain cliff now began to curve down towards a giant valley in the middle of the arena.
From that height, three different rail lines could be clearly seen pointing to the exact same spot.
Down there, a giant platform stood in the middle of the arena.
On top of that platform, a very large metal dragon statue stood with outstretched wings.
And right above its head...
a large gold coin floated slowly.
Dragon Coin.
At the same time, Nelson's voice echoed again from the arena's loudspeakers.
"Attention all participants! The Dragon Coin has appeared in the center of the arena!!!"
The mountain rails began to descend sharply towards that platform.
But they weren't the only ones heading there.
From another direction, something emerged from the ocean.
Udin and Siti's train slid out from the thick water mist. Their rails rose from a large coral tower standing in the middle of the waves.
Seawater splashed high as the train accelerated its pace towards the center platform.
"Over there!" shouted Siti.
Udin just nodded while controlling the water current around the rails to keep their train stable.
On the other side of the arena...
from inside a dark cave, the light of glowing rails appeared.
Gusdur and Jaid's train dashed out from a giant rock hole in the cliff wall. Small rocks crumbled as their train exited the cave path into the open air.
Jaid stood casually behind the seat.
"Target in the center," She said briefly.
Gusdur just smiled faintly.
Back to the mountain track.
Steve saw two other trains appear from different directions heading to the same platform.
"So everyone is gathering there..."
Pulchra stared at the glittering Dragon Coin above the dragon statue.
"Junior... that must be worth a lot."
Not far from them, Togil had also seen it.
He grinned widely.
"That's it!"
Shiro stared at the platform with sparkling eyes.
The trains from the sea, cave, and mountains were now sliding towards the exact same spot.
The Dragon Coin floating above the dragon statue.
