"The Intervention Points. Those are the power you're referring to, right?"
Alam nodded.
[The lobby basically runs on Intervention Points. They powered the system that has been helping you in the mission so far. And they are also needed to interfere with the threads of space and time.]
"So that is why we needed Master to climb the tower. We needed them to create Intervention Points to even attempt the trials among other things."
I said in understanding.
Alam went on with her extensive explanation.
[Excess Intervention Points accumulates every time Master appeared and did anything in the lobby.
[Those excess points were what you used to interfere with the system to observe the scouting attempts on the 20th floor.
[The higher the lobby climbed in the tower, the more Intervention Points would be accumulated by Master each time.]
"Does that mean I could do more things in the lobby with larger amount of Intervention Points?"
I asked the warden.
[Once the Vice-Master's authority grows and there are enough excess Intervention Points accumulated, you could actually send heroes to the missions yourself and even performed duties only Master could. That just showed how precious Intervention Points really are.
[Even so, Master's presence is still vital for the lobby's operation and the climb effort as a whole.]
Master's activities in the lobby fueled us with Intervention Points which we, heroes, could use ourselves.
The higher we climbed, the more Intervention Points Master could generate for us.
That would be an important fact.
I had benefited from the Intervention Points during the 20th floor climb.
And it would not be the last time if what Alam said was true.
"What happens if Master disappeared for good?"
I asked the fairy.
She promptly answered.
[Without a master, the lobby would eat away at its Intervention Points and once they run out, everything would basically fall apart.
[The dungeons could not be accessed. No more missions. Even the basic functions of the lobby would stop working.
[At that point, the lobby would be erased and everyone remaining within, including me, would disappear.]
That would explain why Alam was really worried when Sigyn had not appeared for an extended period.
So we all could die if Master abandoned us.
I was quite surprised by such a possible outcome.
And there was something else about what Alam just said too.
"You mentioned about the lobby being erased. As if someone would do it to the lobby when it had reached that state. Who?"
[The Moebius Company, of course.]
Alam said blatantly.
Now that was a name I had been curious about.
"What is this Moebius? What is their relation to the forged land?"
[The Moebius Company is the faction that created the forged land.
[They were the one that made the forged land's system and all the lobbies where masters could establish their rule and intervene with the world's fate.
[So naturally they are also responsible in erasing broken lobbies.]
The mysteries were rapidly getting solved one by one.
I wished to uncover as many as I could.
"You're sure quick in giving the answers. Are you sure you can reveal all of these information to me?"
Alam simply shrugged again.
[I would tell you all about this eventually, anyway. I just happened to be revealing them sooner and all at once.
[You would also learn about Moebius now that we've cleared the 20th floor. Since I would be explaining to you what the rift on the second floor of the lobby does.]
Alam did say she would tell me about it once we cleared the fourth Quintal Trial.
I better have the answer now then.
"Where does the second floor rift leads to?"
[It's called the Dimensional Rift. You could reach the otherlobbies by going through there.]
Other lobbies.
Even before I had the vision on Floor 0, I already suspected that ours was not the only lobby existed.
If I read between the lines from the system's wording, how everything was organized and the way the system addressed Master, it was suggested that there were more than one lobby in the forged land.
"These other lobbies, are they the same as ours?"
Alam nodded.
[Basically. They have similar vital facilities such as summoning chamber and synthesis chamber.
[But they have different heroes and different masters.
[The world the heroes originated from in each lobby is different as well, which also made them to have different sets of missions in their Main Dungeon.]
So the other lobbies were not aiming for Dunia's salvation like us.
They had their own world and goals.
"These worlds represented by the other lobbies, they're fallen like Dunia?"
I asked the warden.
Alam nodded again.
[They are fallen worlds from the Moebius galaxy. There are more than a hundred million of them, in fact.
[The great beings from Moebius forged the lobbies so masters from a higher dimension could help change their fate.
[Using their intervention powers, masters would summon heroes from the fallen worlds and use them as their armies to fight world-saving battles.]
Her explanation fit together with the contract I was offered when I first came to the forged land.
Combined with what I had learned since then, the full picture began to form.
"What about Dunia, Alam? We're not from Moebius, are we?"
The warden shook her head.
[Dunia is part of Samsara. It's a different galaxy altogether.
[Moebius Company initially did not intend to save your world because it's from another galaxy.
[But thanks to the pact made by the Samsaran goddesses with the Moebius Company, Dunia could also benefit from the forged land system that Moebius created.
[That should explain the vision that you saw in Floor 0.]
Indeed.
Alam's explanation clarified many things I had been wondering.
Most of the major mysteries of the forged land had been answered so far.
But I still intended to investigate more.
"Since Moebius had a hundred million worlds in their galaxy that needed to be saved, are there also other worlds from Samsara that got assigned with their own lobby and master?"
Alam shook her head.
[To my knowledge, only Dunia was included in the pact with Moebius.]
"Why?"
[I truly don't know. There are various information that are restricted even to me.]
Another mystery popped up.
And now we had brushed the subject, I might as well address it.
My eyes turned to the box of text hovering above Alam's head.
[Alam Lv.257]
This would be the first time I saw the warden's status.
There was nothing above her head before I went to the 20th floor.
My seal must had allowed me this view.
"How do you fit in all of these, Alam? Just what are you?"
The fairy raised her eyebrows upon my questions.
But she did not seem to mind the inquiry at all.
[As you've seen seen me kept doing, I am the fairy who aid Master in the lobby. I was created solely for that purpose.]
"Do you also aid the masters in other lobbies?"
[No. Each lobby has its own fairy. Just like how each lobby has its own master and heroes.]
She was a level 257 being.
The 20th floor chimera was not even a quarter of that number.
This little creature could wipe every hero in the lobby if she wanted to.
I supposed it required a being of her caliber to manage the forged land's operation.
But moreover…
"You said you were created, Alam. Who created you?"
[The other fairies working in the Moebius lobbies were created by the great entities in the Moebius Company. But I, myself, was created by the Twin Goddesses of Samsara.]
"Is that so?"
[Yes. After Dunia's pact was made and the goddesses created me, I went to Moebius's fairy academy as a transfer student and learned everything I needed to know about my duty as a fairy.
[Once I graduated and Sigyn established their connection to Dunia's lobby, I was then assigned here as arranged in the pact and the rest is history.]
So that was Alam's part in all this.
What worried me from her story was the fact that there were more powerful beings than her that had autonomy over the forged land's workings.
And we had encountered one of them.
"The incident on the 20th floor…"
I said.
Alam suddenly tensed up.
I made sure to look her in the eyes when I continued.
"…someone from Moebius caused it, wasn't it?"
