[Master, starting conversion!]
The large synthesis chamber glowed with bright light.
A number of 1-star heroes from the Evaluation Center were just brought in there.
But as the system logs showed, it was not for synthesis.
[Conversion Complete!]
[You have obtained Basic Spirit Stones!]
Master recently added a Conversion Chamber to the Synthesis Facility.
It allowed heroes to be converted into items such as the Spirit Stones, which were valuable resources at this point in the climb.
[Starting Item Synthesis!]
[Selected Materials – Basic Promotion Stone, Basic Spirit Stone]
[Completed Item – Intermediate Promotion Stone]
[Success Rate – 91%]
[Synthesis Method – Automatic]
Now that we had climbed higher in the tower, most 1-star heroes were barely worth to be synthesized with the promising raiders.
It would be better to convert them into items that could be used to synthesize higher-grade Promotion Stones.
[Good!]

[Synthesis Complete!]
[You have obtained Intermediate Promotion Stones x5!]
By converting 1-star heroes into Basic Spirit Stones, we could synthesize Intermediate Promotion Stones that could promote 2-star heroes into 3-star.
The Conversion Chamber was certainly needed now that we had climbed past the 20th floor and our 2-star heroes started to become eligible for the 3-star promotion.
[Alright! Get in line, all of you! You'll receive your promotion, don't worry about it!]
Alam shouted to the 2-star trainees in front of the Synthesis Facility.
She then pointed to someone from the crowd and handed the hero with a new Intermediate Promotion Stone.
[Master wants to start with you! Now get in there quick and get your third star!]
After the Conversion Chamber was built and the 21st floor was cleared, Master started rapidly promoting every 2-star heroes that had reached level 20.
All the 2-star heroes in the Main Forces were the first to be promoted.
And now Master had begun promoting those in the Reserve Forces and other qualified heroes.
Jonah said the 3-star promotion enlightened him more about what happened to Dunia.
He was now aware that the whole world was in chaos.
That fact was not just some words he heard from me and the other advanced heroes.
The shepherd had gained his own memories where he literally experienced himself the chaotic time during that period of Dunia.
But he had not yet learned about Prince Radjah's exchange with Samesta in the imperial palace.
According to Alam, the others would learn that truth when they became 4-star like me.
It would still be a while yet till then.
I was still mulling whether I should reveal that secret earlier.
But I would observe our climb first.
Should there be a need in the trial where my comrades had to learn the truth earlier, I would reveal it to them then.
['Ahsan (★★★)'s Promotion Successful!]
[He has become a 3-star.]
[A new illustration is being created.]
Thanks to my seal and authority as Vice-Master, I was able to see more of the system logs.
Alam said I was now able to view almost everything.
That powerful seal of mine somehow lifted most of the restriction put upon me.
It was not that surprising given the seal enabled me to break through the system's barriers within the Quintal Trial.
I wondered if I could keep doing that.
It would make our missions much easier if I could forcibly remove unwanted obstacles.
I would need to explore my new capabilities soon.
Even though we now had two 5-star heroes bolstering our ranks, I must keep improving myself.
That Tel said we would need all the high-ranked heroes of Dunia just to survive the trials.
Despite what she had done to us, I was inclined to believe her words in this particular matter.
Samesta and her followers were formidable opponents.
Even with the Tsamudrans and the Garudas fighting alongside us, it would not be an easy clash.
The Raid Team needed to keep increasing its strength to overcome every challenge standing in our way.
Master fortunately had been aiding us on that effort.
There was now a Class Promotion Facility on the third floor of the lobby.
Once a hero reached 3-star, they could obtain a proper class suited for their abilities.
Alam stated the facility currently only offered few class types that the heroes could be promoted into.
The Warrior class and the Rogue class were the most common types our heroes would attain so far.
We would need to raise the facility's level to provide more advanced varieties.
Regarding the class promotion itself, Jonah said it was similar to synthesis.
A hero would enter the facility and be strengthened with the forged land's power. More like having their mind enhanced and made it capable of taking in greater knowledge.
But the class promotion did not require sacrifices like synthesis.
Instead, the heroes were promoted based on their skill proficiency.
Their variety of skills and skill levels determined which class they would obtain.
The Warrior class could only be obtained by heroes with immense firepower and resilience. While the Rogue class was conditioned for heroes with high maneuverability.
Once a hero fulfilled all the conditions for the class type, Master would send them to the facility to be promoted.
Apparently the class promotion helped improving the hero's skills.
Jonah's Pain Resistance and other skills rapidly levelled up in training soon after he gained the Warrior class.
But the class promotion would also eliminate skills that were not suited for the class type.
Such cases were found on heroes outside the Main Forces that had less proper planning for their skill training.
For instance, a hero that was promoted to the Warrior class lost their Stealthy Movement skill they unintentionally developed. There were other similar cases for the Rogue class heroes as well.
A hero's class limited the skills that they could attain, but it also allowed them to improve their existing skills further.
Only by obtaining a proper class that heroes could evolve their basic combat skills to the intermediate level.
Thanks to his Warrior class, Jonah could now attain Intermediate Spearmanship skill.
That would put him on the same rank of proficiency as the 4-star heroes in the lobby.
Classes were certainly important to a hero's development.
They raised the standard of a hero's capabilities.
The Raid Team would grow stronger once more raiders were promoted to 3-star, gained their own class, and developed their skills further.
We certainly needed them to be considering the challenges that awaited us.
Not just in the tower, but within the lobby as well.
[What is the Dimensional Rift?]
[It is a special facility that allows you to enjoy Pick Me Up's external content.]
[It is only available to masters level 20 and above. It does not cost anything.]
[Details: Dispatch, War, Even Participation, etc.]
This was the system log which explained the rift on the second floor of the lobby.
The Dimensional Rift.
Alam explained to me that it allowed us to travel to other lobbies and various other places where we could obtain resources. It was a useful facility of the forged land.
I could see why the warden stated she would eventually reveal to me everything she said back then.
By reading this log alone, I would raise up many questions to her that would lead to the topics I learned in my vision.
Pick Me Up.
It was the name of the game where our master, Sigyn, played with the lives of their heroes, us, and toyed with the fate of our world, Dunia.
Everything Sigyn had done so far was purely for their entertainment.
Summoning heroes and raised them as their army. Developing the lobby where the heroes could be trained as proper pawns. Deploying the pawns into the missions.
All of those efforts were just a game to Sigyn.
