Still unaffected by whatever their relationship was, Selina turned to face Eloise. She was about to tell her to have the remaining food that didn't fit in the lunchbox when Maura quickly spoke up.
"I hope you're not in a hurry to leave because of my presence. You won't be upset if I spend the night here since Zane agreed to it?" Maura asked, her tone a bit innocent yet taunting.
Selina faced Maura, wearing a frosty smile. "You can stay here as long as you like. You're always welcome. Please feel free at home."
One Maura returned with a feigned gentle smile. She wasn't certain if Selina meant it or not.
"I'm surprised you don't mind my presence," Maura said with a casual shrug, her gaze drifting to the table filled with dishes. "Then you should welcome me properly. Zane was worried about my safety and rushed to the airport early this morning to pick me up. We were in such a hurry that I didn't even get the chance to have breakfast. I can have this food, right?"
