"I went to your mansion, and the maid told me you'd already moved out. You are no longer the madam of the house. If not here, where else would you go?" He chuckled awkwardly, trying to maintain her gaze.
"I told you to stop coming to me, Noah," she muttered. "I'm not ready to be your friend,"
Noah frowned slightly. "I know…just give me a chance, Selina. I want to be there for you as friends. You shouldn't be alone,"
Selina ignored him, shifting her gaze toward the door, now blocked by his broad, towering figure.
"Move aside. I have to get in," she said.
Noah shifted swiftly at her command, avoiding being kicked out.
"Let me carry this. I must've been heavy." He muttered, taking the box from him before she could resist.
Seeing her box was already in his arms before she could refuse, Selina had no choice but to step in front of the door.
Selina raised her hand to the digital keypad lock, keying in the code discreetly, careful to block Noah's line of sight.
