The blazing sun spilled over Sterling Haven's towering building, a reminder that the D-day for the Country C fashion event had arrived. The organizers, designers, and models were caught in a buzz of activity backstage, getting everything ready for the evening when the event would begin.
While others were busy backstage, Selina stayed in the lone studio to complete the last piece of the garment. As her hands quivered slightly on the final piece of the garment worn on the bodice, she kept looking at her laptop on the table across from her. Her body prickled with the unease of waiting for the pervert's text longer than she'd imagined.
While she forced herself to stay focused on finishing her dress, Selina could hear Annabelle and the Sterling director talking at the entrance.
