But a sudden uneasiness threatened to ruin her joy when she realized she couldn't find Zane anywhere—and Selina had left, too. She decided to go find him at his suite for the umpteenth time.
Heading toward Zane's suite, Maura caught sight of him unlocking his door. She quickened her pace, her handbag dangling at her side, while he slipped inside without noticing her presence.
Stumbling to a stop in front of his door, Maura knocked twice, but there was no reply. Her patience had finally run out; she was desperate to poison Zane's mind and convince him to change his word and terminate Selina.
