"Ragnar," she breathed, squeezing her eyes shut briefly.
He lifted his head, eyes darkening until it was almost black.
"Tell me to stop," he said, voice rough, "and I will."
She forced her eyes open and met his gaze. Then slowly shook her head, words momentarily failing her. She didn't want him to stop and she hoped her eyes communicated what her words couldn't.
But Ragnar remained put, no longer exploring her body like he was moments ago.
" Use your words, princess. I want to hear it from your lips." He said to her absolute horror.
What was wrong with her? She spoke to him regularly and bantered with him without any issue, so why was now so different?
Perhaps because in those other times he wasn't hovering over her with eyes that swirled with both lust and desire, holding her in place with a look that made it harder to breathe.
"Please," she whispered, and the word hung in space between them.
