"You think you were a horrible friend?" Jordan asked as he set down the tray of cold drinks on the table in front of me.
I pulled my hoodie over my face and buried my hands in it.
"I am," I muttered.
Jordan took a seat beside me with a sigh. He obviously didn't know how to react to what I had told him. And I didn't blame him one bit.
It might've been because Cassidy was having an upbeat attitude and not slumping around, but I felt worse than ever. Some best friend I was.
I didn't return home until later that evening. Jordan had been a huge help, he gave me the idea of taking Cass away for a vacation. She was still running the coffee shop on occasion from home despite her condition.
It was a marvelous idea, and I could also use the getaway especially after everything that had happened.
Except, Cass didn't take the idea well. I'd been so excited about it that I'd long forgotten she needed treatment.
