Chapter 16 - Chapter 16 - Flee, Poor Little Fox. And Never Return. Part 2.

YEARS AND YEARS...

"Years passed, after my punishment... I decided to deepen my studies of the world, the functioning of the Arcane, SanctBlood, and even the Purple Flame of the nobles... and the Green Flame of Curses. And so, the damned etiquette and education."

Pss...

Pss...

A sharp, irritating sound echoed inside the mansion.

Pss...

The sound was agonizing, hot, like a frying pan that had just come off the fire, touching a damp surface.

Pss...

A dry crackle. This sound was similar to embers that had just plunged into ice water.

An agonizing crackle, followed by a terrifying silence.

Pss...

As if fibers of human skin were burning, and burning, without stopping... agonizing...

Pss...

And with that sound, a deafening silence followed.

Pss...

The silence guided the sound's intensity, as if it were caused with hatred.

Pss...

The House Reixys was bustling that day.

Psssss...

The corridors were crowded, people went from one side to the other.

Nobles, servants, staff, employees, all moved back and forth; ants.

They talked in the already crowded corridors. Employees moved buffets from one side to the other.

The halls shone that day, important members of other Houses were present.

But that damned sound...

PSSSSSSSSSS!!!!!!!

Insisted on continuing.

— Ahn... what could that sound be? I've been hearing it for a few hours since I arrived... at first it was low, but it's getting more intense, it's truly agonizing... can you explain it, Hiro?

Asked Naobu Taka, the regent leader of the Taka Clan, an ancient Shamanic family persisting in the east, a middle-aged man known for his ancient knowledge of SanctBlood, passed down through generations in his clan.

He was there, witnessing the grand preparation of a certain large event, face-to-face with the principal figure of the secondary family of House Reixys: Hiro Reixys.

A young maid had just passed by the two, serving alcoholic beverages to the event's guests. Clumsy and small, she had her wrist tightly squeezed and bruised by Hiro.

— Ahn... Lord Reixys...

The girl closed one eye because of the pain of having a heavy man like that squeezing her thin wrist.

— Oh, Camylia... how rude... don't you see I have a guest here? It's embarrassing...

He, who was squeezing her wrist, suddenly released it, making her nearly stumble, barely managing not to drop the drinks.

Everyone present noticed the incident. They looked, but even those who stepped forward to intervene quickly backed away. This was Reixys territory; nothing could be done.

— Argh... please, sir... a thousand pardons, it wasn't my intention...

PSSSSSSSSSSSS!!!!

She froze at the sound, thin, but that agony returned. That young maid knew where that sound came from, and it sent shivers down her soul.

Then, Hiro's gaze locked onto her, paralyzing, bizarre... her soul was being invaded, until...

He simply picked up a glass she was carrying, drank the contents in one gulp, and his look simply changed.

— Hohoho!!! Don't worry, my young maid, mistakes happen, hahaha!!!, well, now...

His gaze settled on her again.

— Yes... of course, Lord Reixys... I will fetch it.

The young woman curtsied and quickly withdrew.

— Oh... Hiro?

The leader of the Taka observed, perplexed, questioning the Reixys.

— Ah, yes. I almost forgot about you, Sir Taka. Hohoho, forgive me for the inconvenience, you know, it happens, right? Hohoho.

Hiro's posture changed completely, his terrifying gaze molding into that of a simple socializing noble.

— Ah, Hiro... regarding...

— No, no, no.

The man was cut off by Hiro.

— Please don't call me Hiro here. Learn from the maid, hohoho... here I am just the humble Lord Reixys. Well... it's a matter of education, right? Hoh... and, as a gentleman, I must answer you... my dear Taka... that sound is the sound of education...

The man addressed sensed something in Hiro's gaze.

— Education?

He questioned.

— Yes... education... what else could it be?...

A silence... deafening... Hiro Reixys's hypnotic gaze invaded his head. Everyone present was talking, but that man before Hiro Reixys still heard that damned sound.

Pss...

Psss...

PSSSSSSSS!!!

The silence and that deafening sound, invading his mind, hypnotizing him, lost in the gaze of that simple noble in front of him, the simple and humble, "Lord Reixys."

And then, simply, that damned sound was cut short. A piercing scream that startled everyone present in the great hall.

A scream coming from a hoarse, old voice.

It came from a simple room.

— YOU ARE SUPPOSED TO LOOK AT ME WHEN I SPEAK TO YOU, YOU WHORE!!!!!!!!

The scream pierced all the rooms, the halls. All the nobles and non-nobles there, in shock, fixed their gaze on the same spot, the point from which that sound had come, paralyzed, distressed.

Trembling, that same man asked:

— Hi-Hiro... what is this?

With a casual smile on his face, the noble Hiro touched his shoulder.

— Why... I told you, call me Lord Reixys, and well... it's just our good old Jadeai at work.

Silence.

The looks of terror turned once more to that spot.

Pss. Pss. Pssss!!!.

All those present inside the mansion, looking at a common point, in the hall, corridors, until it got closer and closer, until finally, a little child from the RyzisX, in front of a door in one of the corridors, asked:

— Mommy, did that sound come from here?

The mother quickly grabbed her son's hand.

— No... it was just your imagination, Noziel...

Pss...

And there, in front of that room, on whose sign was written: "Discipline Room, Training for Etiquette, Cordiality, Education and Good Manners", another scream came.

— YOU DAMNED STUPID ABOMINATION, I ALREADY TOLD YOU, LOOK AT ME WHEN I SPEAK TO YOU!!!!

The hoarse, old voice had its owner revealed. Inside that dusty but tidy room resided the old Jadeai, applying his discipline.

— I SAID, YOU PATHETIC PIG, LOOK AT ME WHEN I SPEAK TO YOU!!!!

An old man of 65, with a decrepit appearance, shouted tremulously. Along with his words, spatters of saliva were ejected, hitting the floor and the face of someone else present there.

— DAMNED DAMNED DAMNED!!!!

His deafening screams were followed by a damned agonizing silence.

He guided his eyes, which captured another figure, a young woman, thin, with pale skin and short hair. Head bowed, without expressing a single reaction.

The old man's vision shook non-stop, guided to the back of the neck of the one who did not look at him, regardless of the screams.

— YOU.... YOU DAMNED!!! DON'T YOU SEE HOW RUDE IT IS NOT TO LOOK IN THE EYES WHEN PEOPLE TALK TO YOU???

Old Jadeai, trembling and grinding his teeth, released his hatred. Saliva dripped onto the poor girl's hair. The old man's hatred was visible, uncomfortable.

Trembling, with one hand he grabbed the young woman's left arm, which was totally ruined, with several newly formed burn marks, visibly made in sequence.

Even with the frail and trembling hands of an old man, he gripped tightly, and thus raised his remaining hand. One of his fingers glowed with a hot tone.

PSSSSSSS!!!!

Another mark like those was caused.

Another burn. The old finger lifted off the girl's thin skin, releasing smoke that dissipated in the air.

And as it had been with all the other burns, the young girl did not show a single reaction.

Dead eyes, fixed on the floor. She did not tremble, nor vibrate with the pain, as if her body did not feel, as if her soul had been dead all along.

Pss...

Another was made right after, but the young woman showed nothing: emotion, pain, life.

She exuded nothing, like a living dead.

Soulless.

The old man stared at her, his eyes red like blood. Seeing that girl from top to bottom, a look that pierced her soul, he felt his body tremble, vibrate with fury. His throat got stuck, the hatred of that decrepit man. For someone who showed no reaction or life whatsoever...

As if his head would explode, the old man's lips opened... releasing a low remark.

— Congratulations...

A corner-to-corner smile formed on the man's face.

— Hohoho.... HOHOHOHO!!! CONGRATULATIONS, MISS!!! LOOK AT THIS, IT'S PERFECT!!!.

The young woman's eyes remained on the floor, without any reaction.

— Hohoho... please, allow me to apologize, but I couldn't contain my excitement, hohoho!!! I see that, truly, in years, you were the best lady of House Reixys I have ever educated.

The hell.

— The miss is perfect!!! Hohoho!!! Look, it's like an angel!!.

The hell was like that.

— Truly a masterpiece, I have never seen a lady have as much cordiality as you!!! Truly the best that has ever passed through my hands and instructions, the best that has ever had the prestige of my lessons, without a doubt!!!.

Listening, the young woman raised her head. Without showing a hint of life, she did not look directly at the old man, her eyes were empty.

— The miss is perfect!!! You are ready, oh beautiful lady, Miss Mana Reixys!!!

The sound finally ceased, and with that, everything returned to normal. The simple wooden door opened, and out walked, in an elegant and lifeless manner, the young Mana Reixys.

Light steps, a lifeless gaze, following the full corridors of the mansion. Everyone stared at the princess of the Reixys, who walked like a zombie, with her arm damaged, but with a devastating beauty.

They whispered, she had come out of that room, the room where that damned sound resided.

But she, disconnected from that world, just continued, with her firm, measured, and light steps.

Until, simply, in a scream of rudeness and lack of etiquette, dragging everything in front of her, clumsy, running and bumping into guests and other non-nobles, the awkward and poorly cared for youngest maid of the House, the young Camilya, ran disastrously towards Mana.

— MISS REIXYS!!!!!! PLEASE, WAIT FOR ME!!!

She tore the social mask present there, running towards that cold noble, as if it were a trivial act. Extremely punishable.

Mana slowly turned, seeing the young woman approaching awkwardly. Her dead gaze met the girl.

The girl, panting and sweaty, was clearly exhausted and at her limit from having covered a few meters. Resting her hands on her knees, at the height of her fatigue.

Mana stared at her without showing reaction, or saying anything.

— Huff... huff... Miss Mana... a thousand pardons... please, I didn't mean to scare you, I promise...

The young maid, even worried about the way she was acting, still, due to exhaustion, let slip some individualities while talking to Mana.

— Argh... your uncle... Miss Reixys, Lord Sir Hiro Reixys wants the Miss to go get ready!!! He sent me here to take you to take care of your injuries, and put on your outfits for the event, Miss Reixys!!!

The other Reixys House servants present in that corridor looked at the situation with dread. Camilya, a young maid of 15, the same age as the princess of House Reixys, Mana Reixys, who was also 15. Even so young, Camilya had several marks on her body; her lack of cordiality had led her to several severe punishments, both physical and psychological, by the members of

House Reixys. The terror on the faces of the staff, employees, and servants in general was visible; the fear of the horrible punishments. Minimum mistakes were not tolerated there. All the Reixys, without exception, were completely punitive, some more than others, but certainly, the most frightening, was Mana Reixys, with her dead eyes. Unbreakable posture, totally unpredictable, a feared figure, even having never touched anyone.

And even with that, that young maid still made mistakes. The terror of the non-nobles made the air tense.

And even when the young Camilya, in a sudden movement, awkwardly shook herself, splashing her sweat onto Mana's face. Signing the terror there, a fatal fate, her punishment was essential.

The noble Mana Reixys merely placed her hand on her face, wiping it, and now looking the young Camilya in the eyes, said the first words of the day.

— Of course, Camilya... it's alright. Please, take me to the hall.

"At that time, I still didn't understand what I felt. My heart compressed into itself, my soul devoured itself in futile attempts to cancel everything... nowadays, I understand what I felt at that time."

A young man with silver hair, hair that waved down to his neck, and striking eyes, like those of a predator, walked with calm steps through the corridors. Unlike other parts of the mansion, those corridors were empty.

The echoes of his steps reverberated, an infinite void in front of him.

His eyes fixed in only one direction, without diverting his gaze, without blinking. He reached a door, passed it, and thus, other doors behind that one appeared. Everything was dark there, not even a living soul.

He reached the door that was in the center of all of them, and with a polite gesture, knocked three times in a row. Immediately after, kneeling in reverence.

— Who is it?...

A drunken voice came from inside that door, a clearly intoxicated man, in solitude.

— My uncle... I ask forgiveness for coming to bother you in your chambers... but your presence must be mandatory in the main great hall...

A young voice escaped. That young man, with silver hair and striking eyes, bowed before that drunk.

— Oh... it's you, Kameliel. I believe Hiro sent you... so truly, my brother sent his genius son to come bother me... does he want to humiliate me? Exposing me in this humiliating way... showing off his offspring, and humiliating my depressing situation...

The sound of a bottle breaking was heard from inside that room.

— Humiliating...

But even before that drunk, the young man kept his head bowed.

— That is not the intention, my uncle... I just think we should fulfill our duty as members of House Reixys... you yourself had told me when you noticed my talent... we are the purest lineage within the Arcane noble families... so...

— Enough... Kameliel, I understand very well what you mean... ah, already... I really don't understand how you came from Hiro... you... are truly special, boy.

The young man kept his voice firm.

— Thank you very much, my uncle... I am grateful for your recognition... it means a lot to me.

— Haha... always modest, huh... worthy... Confirm my presence at the event... I will soon be present in the main hall... hah... what an irony, my brother's worm, having someone like you... while I... had that abortion...

Silence took over the place. Homi Reixys, the principal leader of House Reixys, waited for a response from the young Kameliel, but nothing came. Until, in a dry manner, the young man stood up and faced the door.

— Thank you very much, my uncle. I thank you from my heart. I'm afraid I have to leave now, I have other matters to resolve before the great event... I hope to see you well there... I am anxious.

And with dry steps, the young man withdrew.

The steps began to disappear, the further he went. Until they became inaudible, leaving only silence in that darkness.

"Kameliel also grew up... unlike everything, everyone... he was special, a genius, the kind that isn't born in a generation or millennia. Everyone knew, nothing like that boy would ever be born again... and in the main lineage... there was me..."

THE GRAND EVENT.

— HAHAHAHAHA!!!! COME ON, RAYLIAM, DO THAT AGAIN, HAHAHAHAHA!!!!

The Grand Event. The great hall, crowded and infested. Great figures, dressed as the high elite, nobles from high families lined up.

The buffets full, high-class food, drinks. The servants went back and forth serving the guests of high society.

A beautiful golden hall, the Purple Flame burned.

— HAHAAHAAH!!! YOU ARE INCREDIBLE, GREAT SIR COUNSELOR!!! HAHAHAA!!!.

Hiro Reixys laughed loudly, in an inelegant way. Among those of his caste, he acted with arrogance towards those below, but flattered those above, and so he did there, flattering, the great Royal Supreme Counselor. A sickly man, with pale skin and black hair, equipped with a life support, with a robotic and artificial voice, but exuding an indescribable charisma.

— Hahah... compose yourself, Hiro... I just made a joke, right? Hahahaa.

The Counselor said with humility. His mannerisms were difficult to read, but even with a gigantic burn scar on his face, and that aberration on which he supported his life, he was welcoming.

— Hahah, you, sir... but even so, I can't contain myself before your infinite charisma. By the way, forgive me for my insensitivity, but this scar, you acquired it because of the Rotten Flesh Incident, right? That filthy Sect... and they even ended up taking the youngest daughter of the RyzisX... what a horrible misfortune...

Hiro forced empathy for the case. It was visible that the man didn't care. He was like that place, that brilliant party full of nobles, but without appearances, it was empty, superficial.

— Yes, Hiro... truly, a misfortune. The Rotten Flesh Sect has always been very important for us to contain the Plague of the Abyssal God of Rot. The ritual was always well measured, thanks to the Purple Flame, the noble Arcane that runs in the blood of the Reixys and RyzisX, we were able to contain the Plague by performing the ritual with the youngest daughter of House RyzisX for years... but this time, the damned members of the Sect set up everything... a trap. Apparently, they let themselves be carried away by madness, the weight of such responsibility is not for everyone... am I right?

The Counselor, even not belonging to any Noble House or family, had such authority over everything the Arcane high society touched; his words were definitive.

— Yes... of course you are right, Great Counselor.

Hiro merely agreed. Amidst the music, the conversations, and whispers in that beautiful golden hall, tables bathed in precious metals, and the rush of servants to meet their masters' expectations, something drew attention, more than anything.

A loud voice took the hall, an announcement.

— DEAR GUESTS, HOUSE REIXYS EXPRESSES SUPREME GRATITUDE FOR ATTENDING OUR GRAND EVENT!!! IN COMMEMORATION AND HOMAGE TO THE MAXIMUM ACHIEVEMENT OUR HOUSE HAS EVER CONQUERED. BIRTHDAY AND BIRTH OF THE MANIFESTATION OF THE PURPLE FLAME OF THE ONLY SON OF THE SECONDARY FAMILY: KAMELIEL REIXYS!!!

Total darkness. But before everyone wondered what had happened, lights guided to the center of the main hall. There was the charismatic man making the announcement, alongside Homi Reixys, the Head of the House, and Kameliel Reixys, the only son of the secondary family.

— I COME HERE TO INFORM YOU: KAMELIEL, IN ADDITION TO BEING THE YOUNGEST MEMBER OF THE HOUSE TO AWAKEN THE PURPLE FLAME IN THE ENTIRE HISTORY OF HOUSE REIXYS, MOREOVER, RECENTLY IN HIS ACTIVITIES, HE DISCOVERED A NEW SPECIES OF ARCANE STONE, THE KAME-EL STONE, WITH A NEW WAY OF RADIATING AND CONTAINING ARCANE, A SOURCE OF MOST PRECIOUS ENERGY, NOT TO MENTION THE DISCOVERY OF A MINE OF GREATER GOD AND LESSER GOD STONES, AND OTHER NEWS THAT WILL BE LEFT FOR THE END OF THE NIGHT!!!!.

Everyone stared, truly, perhaps a damned genius, an aberration, the Reixys pride.

And from the audience, Hiro contained his smile... his laugh.

— Humph... who would have thought... my brother... I hope your disappointment devours your soul... haha... what an irony... you next to my offspring... equals.

Hiro whispered to himself.

The great Counselor noticed and stared at him.

"A show. That was a show, right? My cousin's great victories, my father's hatred for me, my damned uncle... from this point on, I remember everything very well."

The party continued. The nobles celebrated something they barely cared about, delighting in their sins: gluttony, lust, with only a weak, threadbare excuse.

"And I appeared in the middle of all that."

As the party progressed, the grand entrance occurred. The Reixys princess was about to arrive. Sounds, music, an announcement.

A beautiful lady with brown hair, skin pale as snow, short hair, covered by a golden tiara, a dead gaze, nothing striking, except for the birthmark on her eyes, a characteristic that any Reixys carried. She wore a long white dress, with golden details, so clean,

beautiful, divine.

Eyes found her. Members of other families and even servants, staring at her with an angelic enchantment. Hiro had to contain his repulsion. Homi did not look at her. The only close relative who stared at her, without showing anything negative, was her cousin, Kameliel Reixys. With those... eyes...

Jadeai stared at her, observing the work he believed he had created with his "lessons."

Camilya stopped moving for a moment, her hands busy with a tray carrying alcoholic beverages. In the middle of the chaos that was upon the employees. She simply stopped, observing that divine and perfect beauty she believed Mana possessed.

"I realized... I always realized... all of them staring at me... I always did, but that time was different, a horrible sensation grew in my heart. Until then... I was just another zombie, but it didn't take long for me to truly die."

A bad feeling overwhelmed the air, heavily. Everyone stared at the pale girl, a 15-year-old. In the middle of hell, perhaps.

All the focus was no longer on Kameliel, the lights shifted. Not out of admiration, after all...

"I always remember this..."

After all, that was the abortion of House Reixys.

"I feel an immense urge to vomit."

— Hoho!!! Miss Reixys, I see you are divine, as I said!!! An angel!!!

Jadeai approached with malice, looking with lust at that young "student" who had just graduated.

Mana remained quiet, looking only at a fixed point, without looking the man in the eyes, without even a reaction.

— Hoho!!! I see that the Miss still maintains her posture very well, divine!!! I also see that your arm is completely healed. But what beautiful arms!!!

"I felt something that already existed inside me begin to grow, something I was already fully certain of the existence, but had no idea what it was."

— Yes, Sir Jadeai, I am grateful for your lessons... grateful for turning me into the woman I am today.

"My heart was going to come out of my mouth... I was sweating so much under that dress, I didn't... I didn't want to say anything..."

— Don't be silly, my dear, it's just my job, hoho!!!.

"What happened next again?."

— Ah.. A-ha... MISSS, YOU ARE SO BEAUTIFUL!!!!.

"Ah yes... I remember."

— What?... who is... little bitch?.

"With every step Camilya took, my heart compressed, accelerated, more and more. When I realized, she was already running towards me."

— MISS MANA!!! I'M HERE!!!

"She came towards me, running, right after placing the tray she was carrying on the nearest table... her eyes shone so brightly."

— What? But what the hell is this?

— A filthy servant with such behavior? Damn... these damned Reixys don't have the right to have this damned inflated ego!!!

— Urgh... this is what we should expect from this House...

"I remember the whispers... my body shivered more and more, my chest hurt so much, so much... with every step she took, closer and closer... the pain in my chest spread to my back, my throat closed... I couldn't breathe... the makeup, melting on my face, mixing with the damned sweat."

— Ahn?... I see, the maids lack education, I must teach them... a lesson.

"My body was in a complete trance, everything made me swallow my throat, that sensation, replaced by that horrible anxiety, my head hurt as if it were splitting... the only thing that woke me up was the old man's words..."

Pssss....

"I smelled that damned odor, the smell of cigar, the same one my skin had when he burned it. When my eyes guided, I saw the fingers... taking that hot color... she was already in front of me... my head started spinning, for a moment, I was no longer myself... I could only hear one thing... That infernal sound... the sound of my skin burning in those damned lessons... and for a moment..."

— A-ah... but what... BUT WHAT THE HELL WAS THAT????.

"When I came back, that old man was on the floor, thrown like a rag, staring at me, with a look of disgust and, especially, surprise. Something I always saw, but my look of despair, fear, and shock were new things for him."

— But what?...

— So this is truly the Reixys aberration...

— Beauty doesn't matter, it's to be expected that an abomination like this possesses this dirty behavior...

"Those whispers again... a demonic symphony to my ears. But they made me fully realize what I had done, all the glances denounced me, I had pushed that damned old man, in pure reflex, an impulse, maybe to protect Camilya... maybe to protect myself. My hairs, which were already raised, felt like they were going to jump off my skin, my eyes no longer saw anything, only the damned feeling that everything around me was spinning... a whirlwind, but the worst was yet to come, right?"

— M-miss?...

"Camilya... she took three steps back, seeing that I was completely lost in my own mind. I don't know to this day what I felt there, just the damned spiral."

Now, not even the empty gaze existed, her pupils became a spiral, trapped in her own mind, lost.

— OH... WELL, YOU!!!!

The old man shouted on the floor, trying to get up abruptly, but failing, and thus immediately tumbling to the ground.

"He tried to get up, staring at me with those... I feel like he would have killed me... if I weren't the daughter of the main family... but, mainly, I feel like my father would have killed me... That old man looked at me with such a look..."

Meanwhile, the "abomination," the "beautiful princess of the Reixys," trapped in a spiral of thoughts in her own mind. Lost, the emptiness no longer existed, it was chaos.

"So human... amidst that damned man, maybe he only felt hatred, and the desire to educate me more maybe... he wasn't the worst one there..."

— Hoh... look at that... apparently the

"princess" is showing something...

Hiro whispered to himself.

— Hmph... yes, it's really something.

The great Counselor watched in silence, surprising Hiro for having listened.

Homi watched in silence, with no intention of taking action, but he had realized: Kameliel had disappeared.

Meanwhile, that young woman in a trance, in the middle of the hall.

"My head wouldn't stop spinning, I got lost once more in the old man's eyes at that moment, the floor, it was as if my body was in an unlimited void, totally directionless or scripted."

Whispers.

Whispers.

"That furious old man on the floor. And all those damned people, speaking softly... invading my mind and my heart... I didn't want to ask for help, because I didn't know what that was. I just wanted to disappear. Or maybe not... I know exactly what I wanted..."

And the young Camilya, observing her, but in a quick moment.

"The wretch... the damned Camilya advanced on me... she never even had sense, she saw an insane lunatic in front of her and went to help... that day, there were several utensils near me, a nearby table, full of them... I don't think she saw... or maybe she thought we were... friends... how ridiculous."

— MISS MANA!!! ARE YOU OKAY???

"She ran towards me..."

The distance got shorter.

"What a damned mistake, Camilya."

She got close too fast.

"I hate you for this too, you damned wretch... the same way I hate them... the same way I hate Hiro... Kameliel and my father... you are a damned wretch..."

The young maid touched Mana's shoulder, who was still trapped in a trance in her mind.

"Why did you have to do that?..."

Mana, who was in a complete trance, acted out of pure instinct, with a primitive reflex, reflecting her years of abuse.

"I will always hate all of you."

She, in a completely automatic manner, did not think, merely acted. Like an animal, she ended up grabbing a simple knife, used to cut bread on a table right next to her. She attacked, a direct cut, aimed strongly at the abdomen.

"I will always..."

In reflex, she attacked. The young maid backed away. Everyone there backed away. The great hall became a horrible stage.

"Hate everyone..."

But like a blur, something appeared behind her.

"Or maybe not... maybe I have no reason to hate you... that day, you just wanted to help me, right? That day..."

A quick and abrupt gesture. The young Kameliel appeared like a blur behind her, fast, imperceptible. She didn't notice him in her lost mind, there was no other choice.

With an extremely exaggerated force, he squeezed her wrist, the one that was unarmed, strong enough to cause immense pain, awakening her from her trance. Waking her up.

"I woke up... I looked back, my heart was exploding, my pain hurt so much, my arms... my throat. But when I looked back, I saw you... with those eyes, staring into the depths of my soul, squeezing my wrist with that damned force..."

— Mana... enough...

"There, seeing you so close, I understood what I felt for you, what I always felt... my hatred, envy... bloomed and blossomed, like accepting myself... being born again... you were so close... I would never..."

— AHHH!!!! DAMN IT!!! LET GO OF MEEEE!!!!

"I would never lose that chance... my intention with that was..."

VASH!!!!!!

"My intention with that was solely, to kill you."

Drops... the blood dripped, slowly. The knife, now stained with blood, trickled, causing an agonizing, disturbing symphony.

"I looked at you, I saw the blood leaking, the cut. My heart felt that sensation. I saw what I had done."

The shock was terrible, glances crossed. Everyone consumed by a knot in their stomach. The face of that promising noble, sliced, even standing, had a wound, a repulsive sensation.

Disgust was present in every soul in that place.

"It was the first time I shed blood, there I accepted myself, and accepted what I felt. I felt a seed planted in my mind, my greatest evil saved me, from you."

A sensation, the deafening silence. Only followed by the drops of blood hitting the floor.

"I felt... my hand, my body was trembling, I felt that simple knife tearing his face, his blood splashing onto my hands."

Everyone saw, the face of the noble Kameliel Reixys, with a horrible cut, crossing his face like a slash. Blood ran. His gaze fixed. The shock.

"I had never fought back... reacted... until then... and after that, with his face bleeding, with that deep cut, he just stared at me, as always... with those damned eyes."

Mana let go of the blood-stained knife. Tears streamed down. And so...

"And the worst of all, he hadn't hit me, at no point. In that place and at that time I had suffered aggression. All I did was have an abrupt and animalistic reaction... instinctive..."

— MY GOD!!! LOOK WHAT THIS DEMON DID!!!!.

"They didn't take long to scream."

— SHE RUINED THE POOR BOY'S FACE.

"My tragic seed, right?... what a joke... just as it was also a joke that you stared at me, without speaking while that place burned... you said nothing... I COULDN'T READ YOU, DAMN IT!!!! You were always a bastard... I hated you... you were what I hated the most!!! So why... did that satisfaction of having disfigured your face pass so quickly?."

— WHAT AN ABOMINATION, THIS IS DEMONIC!!!.

"The faces and mouths... and the only one who showed a reaction... was him. My uncle. I always sensed something horrible in you, perhaps that night I understood."

— Hmph... YOU SEE??? MY BROTHER'S OFFSPRING IS NOTHING BUT A DAMNED ABERRATION!!!

"I felt your damned sentence upon hearing those words... I guess in the end you got what you wanted, right? You were a damned lucky one... hah... my father must have hated it."

Hiro pointed, his screams were imbued with something bizarre, "I won" perhaps that was it.

Every noble there pointed along, and soon the figure of the former Rameliel, Homi Reixys, disappeared, like a defeated coward.

"Yes... hahah... my father disappeared right after, that damned old coward, he didn't bear the death of my damned mother, he just became a filthy alcoholic, he even lost his title of Rameliel... so no, he would never bear that. The terror in my heart took shape. The only one who showed fear or repulsion towards me, by his gaze, was that damned one with silver eyes... that damned one with the empty heart. Who still insisted on squeezing my wrist. For the first time. Taken by that, I let myself be taken, with no escape. The blood that covered Kameliel's face, the same blood that soaked my hands. My uncle's screams, the comments, my father's absence... no... I... I died for the second time."
