Wally opened his eyes as the rays of the sun hit his face. As he rubbed the sleep from his eyes, he looked around and saw that his room was a complete mess. The sheets were on the floor, his desk was cluttered, his gaming chair was broken, and his bed was somewhat sticky.
(It wasn't a dream), Wally thought as he searched for the camera he had hidden in his room. Wally removed the memory card from the camera to view it on his computer, but he fell silent when he saw himself with Jade, Artemis' older sister and his teammate's sister.
(Two hours), he noted from the recording's duration. He didn't know whether to scream with happiness for losing his virginity to a sexy assassin ninja, but if his team ever found out about this, he didn't even want to imagine the consequences.
Kid Flash took a cold shower, cleaned up his room, and found a note.
It was a good night, and don't be sad. I'll see you again, darling.
It was short, but it said everything it needed to say.
Wally picked up his phone when it started ringing.
"Get to the Cave now. Alpha-level emergency."
It was Robin's voice, and judging by both his tone and the code, the situation was very serious. Wally wasted no time. He put on his suit, ready for battle. His knives, costume, and smoke grenades were all prepared.
Mount Justice – October 1
Kid Flash entered the Cave. The team was already present, along with Shazam and Zatara.
"Master Zatara, Shazam," Kid Flash greeted his mentor in magical defense and Captain Marvel. Both returned the young speedster's greeting.
Batman then entered briskly and displayed images of a massive plant attacking Metropolis, while Superman, Green Lantern, Hawkgirl, and Hawkman struggled to contain it.
"Green Lantern analyzed the plant. It contains a variant of Cobra Venom," Batman commented.
"A proprietary formula from a society of supervillains working together to acquire things like that," Wally said seriously.
"A hundred bucks says Poison Ivy is involved in this somehow," Wally added calmly.
"That's not a fair bet," Robin commented.
"Gotham, Star City, and Paris are all under attack," Batman continued, but at that moment the screens flickered.
"Joker, Poison Ivy, Black Adam, Atomic Skull, Wotan, Ultra-Humanite, and Count Vertigo. Seven heavy hitters," Robin declared once the transmission from the Injustice League ended.
"Orders?" Kid Flash asked seriously.
"We should go destroy those plants," Superboy said, eager to smash something.
"The League will handle the plants," Batman declared.
"Then what will the Team do?" Megan asked, confused.
"We're going fishing for seven rotten fish," Kid Flash said seriously as a grin formed on his face and lightning danced across his arms. "We're going to purify those sinners."
His smile made more than one team member tense up, and Zatara wondered if the blades and the ring somehow affected his battle lust.
"Zatara, can you locate them?" Batman asked.
"Robin, a holographic map," Zatara requested.
Robin complied. Zatara spoke a few words, and a point appeared on the map.
"You'll find them here," he declared.
Robin recorded the coordinates.
"Move out," Aqualad ordered seriously.
Bartholomew Bayou – October 1
"At this point we should already have been detected," Wally commented, dressed in his black suit with his knives sheathed.
"It's better to advance from here to avoid an ambush," he said seriously.
"Do you have a plan?" Aqualad asked.
"Superboy, Artemis, Wolf, you and I will draw all the attention," he declared.
"What about Robin and me?" Miss Martian asked as she landed.
"We'll destroy the source powering the plants while the rest of you keep them occupied," Robin declared, holding his blades.
The team landed half a kilometer from the enemy base. Kid Flash remained on maximum alert for any attack.
"We'll buy you as much time as possible. The ones likely to come after us are Black Adam, Count Vertigo, and Wotan. The others should still be at the base. Artemis, you're going with Robin and Miss Martian for support," Kid Flash ordered.
"But—" Artemis began.
"Now!" Kid Flash ordered as he intercepted Black Adam, only to be dragged away by the force of the charge.
"Move!" Aqualad ordered while Wolf and Superboy engaged Wotan and Count Vertigo.
"You heard him," Robin declared as he advanced.
The sounds of Kid Flash battling Black Adam echoed in the distance.
Unknown Location
"I got some drones to let us watch the fight," a scientist commented while Deathstroke nodded.
"Watching your prey?" Sportmaster asked as he observed the speedster dodging the attacks of the powerful Black Adam.
"This will be interesting," Cheshire commented while watching the battle.
"It will," Ra's said beside his daughter.
"I hope this is worth my time," Lex Luthor commented.
"We'll see," Vandal replied as he watched the fight between a speedster and a man who called himself a god.
Jade watched the battle.
(If he manages to win, he'll deserve a reward), she thought to herself.
Bartholomew Bayou
Kid Flash dodged Black Adam's fist as it flew toward his face.
(I have to give it everything), he thought as he dropped every weight from his body and drew his blades.
Adam looked at the weapons.
"The Blades of Pride. Quite surprising that a mere human like you can wield them," Adam commented.
"Do you think they can stop me?" Adam asked, looking at Kid Flash as if he were nothing.
That attitude made Kid Flash angry. His pride roared like a lion.
"Only a real man can aspire to kill a monster," Kid Flash declared, staring at Adam without the slightest fear.
Adam returned the gaze without hesitation.
