Chapter 202 - Chapter 202: So You’re Actually a Profiteer

After leaving the clubroom, Sato first went to the classroom to check on the decorations. Compared to the classes planning projects like haunted houses, his class did not need such troublesome preparations.

They only hung a few simple decorations on the walls and ceiling. That was the entirety of their classroom setup. After all, the main attraction was a kendo experience hall, which only required an open space. By then, almost all the desks and chairs would be removed from the classroom, and too many decorations would just get in the way.

"Where's Kazuto?"

After scanning the classroom, Sato asked Saiki Kusuo, who was sitting at his desk holding a cup and gazing out the window.

Sato glanced into the cup, and the corners of his mouth twitched.

This time, there were not only goji berries in it, but red dates too.

Do you really need health supplements, boss?

Saiki Kusuo turned around and said calmly, "He went to the field. He and the two members from our class in the kendo club went there to practice."

"I see…"

Sato nodded.

"By the way… shouldn't we prepare some desserts too?"

Suddenly, Saiki Kusuo looked at Sato and said.

"Desserts?"

Sato frowned and thought about it.

According to the experience flow they had designed, after participating in an intense kendo session, the girls would appear in maid outfits carrying coffee or tea, then say, "Master, thank you for your hard work. Please enjoy your tea."

Actually, when they designed it, the maids and that final line were the real selling points.

Combined together, they had kendo, maids, and food. The existence of these three elements could greatly increase the experience fee, and because of the combination, they also would not have to worry about attracting customers.

Compared to the rather traditional projects of the other classes, something more novel was obviously more eye-catching.

And if they added desserts too…

It actually was not a bad idea. After intense exercise, people naturally felt tired and hungry, so food would probably sell well.

But in that case, it would basically become a combination of a kendo experience hall and a maid café?

"Not a bad suggestion, but do you have any recommendations for desserts? Preferably something we can just buy ready-made."

If the classroom was being used as the experience hall, there would not be extra space for making desserts.

"How about coffee jelly?"

Saiki Kusuo said without changing expression.

"Mm, not bad. Anything else?"

"Pudding, cakes, things like that. We could even buy them from other classes making desserts, then resell them at a higher price…"

"Tsk! How did I never realize before that you're such a profiteer, Saiki?!"

Sato looked utterly shocked, but… it really was a good suggestion. After all, they also had service fees, so charging a little more should not be a problem, right?

After wandering around the classroom for a bit, Sato arrived at the meeting room.

Unexpectedly, a large crowd had gathered outside, all looking into the room.

Smack!

"Ah!"

Isshiki Iroha jumped in fright when a hand suddenly landed on her shoulder. When she turned and saw the smiling Sato, she immediately puffed up her cheeks angrily and glared at him.

"You scared me to death!"

As she spoke, the girl angrily lifted her foot to stomp on him, but he nimbly dodged.

"Now, now, little Iroha, don't be so violent. What's happening inside?"

Sato asked with a smile.

Isshiki Iroha rolled her eyes and turned her head away irritably.

Eh? Is this girl actually mad?

Did I really scare her that badly?

"Because Yukino's sister came."

Suddenly, a somewhat familiar voice sounded beside him. Sato turned and immediately saw dazzling blond hair.

"Long time no see, Nohara-kun."

Hayama Hayato greeted him.

Sato looked at Hayama Hayato with some surprise. "I didn't expect senpai to still remember my name."

If he remembered correctly, he and Hayama had only met once, and that had been months ago.

Hayama Hayato smiled. "If you don't mind, you can just call me Hayama from now on."

Oh?

Sato raised an eyebrow. Hayama Hayato's popularity really was not without reason. He did not object to the suggestion either, since he did not care much about Japan's seniority culture.

But soon he remembered what Hayama had just said and frowned slightly. "What you said earlier was… Yukino?"

Calling someone directly by their given name was not a simple thing.

"Yeah. My family and the Yukinoshita family are longtime acquaintances. I've known her since we were children."

"So you're childhood friends?"

"Not really. We just happened to know each other since childhood. Our relationship can only be described as average…"

Hayama Hayato shrugged as he spoke, his gaze toward the people in the room somewhat complicated, as if he had remembered something.

Sato looked into the room and, as expected, saw Yukinoshita Haruno inside. Watching the scene with interest, he asked, "Since your family is close to the Yukinoshita family, do you know what Yukinoshita's relationship with her sister is like?"

"Hm?"

Hayama Hayato looked at Sato in surprise. "You actually noticed?"

His heart shook slightly. Nohara should never have met Haruno before, right?

"I just sensed something."

Sato smiled lightly. From Hayama's reaction, the truth seemed to match his guesses almost perfectly.

To him, the relationship between Yukinoshita Yukino and her sister really did feel strange. The two of them did not seem like ordinary sisters. More precisely, there seemed to be some difference in how they felt toward each other.

This difference was not about liking or hating one another, but rather that their feelings toward each other seemed mixed with some kind of complicated emotion.

He just did not yet know what that emotion was or why it existed.

But today, it seemed that mystery might finally be solved.

A trace of curiosity appeared in Sato's eyes. The unknown held an irresistible attraction for all humans.

The only difference was the degree of that attraction, and his curiosity happened to be rather strong.

"Can you tell me about them?"

He looked at Hayama Hayato.

Hayama frowned instinctively, wanting to refuse. But after thinking of something, he finally took a deep breath and nodded.

"Alright."
