"Master…" she whispered weakly, her voice trembling. "I've been waiting for you."
I rushed to her side, kneeling by the bed. "Lena, what's going on? What happened to you?"
Her lips parted slowly, and her voice came out fragile. "It's… my system. The poison kicked in. I didn't fulfill my condition properly."
"What?" I frowned. "I thought you said you already completed it."
Ruth blinked in surprise. "That's what she told me too."
Lena looked away guiltily, her eyes glistening. "It wasn't enough… I didn't want to bother you. I thought I could endure it."
Belinda sighed heavily, her worry showing clearly. "You idiot… you should've said something sooner."
I took Lena's hand. It was cold, far too cold.
"How can I help you complete it now that you can't even get up?" I asked softly.
Her eyes flickered toward me, a faint blush rising to her cheeks even in her weakened state. "Only your… intentions matter, Master."
