The arena of Xander's Academy trembled with life.
Stone seats curved around the massive colosseum, packed with nobles, envoys, knights, merchants, and families. Muffled chatter rolled through the structure like a restless tide, mixing with crackles of mana from the barrier stones lining the stage. The air was warm, bright, and charged with anticipation.
A flare of sound magic pulsed through the scene with a rather enthusiastic voice behind it.
"Welcome, everyone!"
The student announcer stepped forward onto the floating platform in the arena's center as his amplified voice silenced the hushed gossips amongst the crowd.
"On behalf of the entire student body, I officially welcome our honored guests and esteemed visitors to this great learning institute!"
He flashed a grin.
"And today, joining me in commentary… please give it up for the one and only—Vice Principal Alistair Vaughn!"
