Chapter 464 - Chapter 464: In a Good Mood

"Haa… haa…"

Before long, Yukina had to pull back for air. She breathed deeply, her eyes shining. Seeing her like that, Shichen's heart stirred; before she had fully recovered, he kissed her again and they were soon lost in each other.

"Mm…"

Yukina hadn't expected him to be so ardent—startled and sweet at once. Sensei really does feel that way about me, she thought, closing her eyes and letting herself match him.

A moment later, she jolted, stiffening in surprise at the new sensations—her thoughts stuttered—and her heartbeat sped up.

"Mm…"

Guided by his practiced gentleness, heat rushed through her, making her too shy to move. A flicker of comparison crossed her mind—Sayaka had gone first; would she be enough? But there was no time to dwell: Shichen shifted from the edge of her top to closer contact, and Yukina's thoughts scattered. The only clear one was that he was very skilled.

After a while, Shichen let her go; his eyes had reddened slightly, and his fangs slid down.

"Sensei…" Yukina met his gaze dreamily.

"May I?" he asked in a low voice.

"Mm…" She tilted her head to bare her neck.

Reason had long since slipped away; she only wanted to answer him. With a soft chestnut of pain, he bit lightly; warm trickles followed, and Yukina came back to herself for a moment—aware of the lingering traces on her skin and clothes—and thought fleetingly that she might need a new tank top…or three.

She also clearly felt the pull of her blood, but had no fear. With Sayaka having gone first, she refused to fall behind. More importantly, she trusted him not to take too much. True to that, Shichen stopped quickly and fed her his blood, making her his Blood Servant—no more aging necessary. To him, her blood was clear and sweet—though, as he had suspected, it didn't awaken a new familiar. Compared to "goddess-level" cases, even top-grade shrine-maiden aptitude fell short; his familiars were exacting.

"Sensei…"

When he lifted his mouth from her neck, Yukina's eyes were hazy, her mood rising from the aftereffects of the bite. "Don't be afraid," he said, stroking her hair. She leaned in for another kiss; he held her and guided her gently. Kisses alone wouldn't settle the bite's rush, and he suddenly thought of how jealous she'd been over Sayaka—he wanted to make sure she wouldn't feel left behind.

When she was breathless again, he eased her to lie back against the bed and knelt at the side. "Yukina, it's uncomfortable right now, isn't it? Let me help," he said softly. "So you won't be behind Sayaka and La Folia." "…I understand," she said, determination lighting her eyes—and let him take the lead. Time blurred.

Around noon, Shichen returned home alone.

"Where did you go?" Avrora demanded the moment she saw him. He'd been gone all morning; if he hadn't warned everyone not to run around because of the spatial instability, she would have gone looking.

"Nowhere."

"As if! You were gone for hours and that's 'nowhere'?"

"Let's just say I tried a little 'fiery meat' and sipped some 'holy water,'" he joked.

"Fiery… what? Holy… what?" Avrora blinked—no idea what he meant.

"Don't mind it. I'm hungry—has Tritos got lunch ready?" He pulled her into his arms. "Almost." Held like that, Avrora relaxed into him and stopped asking.

A moment later he slipped away to fetch La Folia and the others from their outing; the three returned buzzing—clearly the morning had been fun.

"I'll go wake Yukina…"

"No need—she's still sleeping," Shichen said, stopping Sayaka.

"Still? No way." Sayaka squinted at him. She felt like he'd done something.

"Really asleep. She's a little tired—let her rest."

"…Did you do something?"

"What could I do? The same things I did with you," he said evenly.

"What?"

By dinnertime, Yukina had fully recovered. When she arrived at Shichen's place, Sayaka stared at her from head to toe.

"Why are you looking at me like that?"

"Did Shichen… do something?" Sayaka left the sentence hanging.

"N-nothing happened!" Yukina flushed and denied it at once—unconvincing to anyone who knew her. "My poor Yukina—defiled," Sayaka moaned theatrically.

"What are you babbling about? You got ahead of me," Yukina shot back.

"Uh…"

"Hmph." Yukina let it drop, then turned a brilliant smile on Shichen. Her mood was very, very good.
