Cold light gathered in a place that had never known warmth.
The avatar knelt on cracked stone, the golden core pulsing between its hands like a second heart. It had carried the seed across broken realms, past the notice of gods still licking their wounds, into this forgotten hollow where old power still lingered in the rock. It waited in perfect stillness, as it had been shaped to wait.
A presence arrived without sound.
Metatron stepped from the dark as if the dark itself had decided to wear a shape. Tall, severe, eyes like polished scripture. The real Metatron — or so every angel still loyal to order believed. The avatar lowered its head in automatic reverence.
"You have done well," Metatron said. His voice was quiet, almost kind. "Give it to me."
The avatar offered the core without hesitation. Metatron took it in both hands. For a long moment he only looked at it, turning the dense golden light slowly, studying the compressed order within.
