The map Wukong had scratched into the dust remained between them, smudged already by boot heels and spear butts. Two outer feeds. One soft spine. One defect where coverage logics failed to agree. Otherwise watched ground.
Zeus pressed his knuckles to the floor beside the lines. "We test the seam. Not a break. A touch. We learn how loud it is, how fast her screen answers, and if a body can pass without being peeled open. If the reaction is too thick, we walk away and look for something uglier."
Athena's jaw set, but she nodded. "Three go. No more. If the density spikes, you drop contact and return through the spine. No heroics."
