Lin Xuan had no idea that whisking Ohara away had thrown the World Government and the Navy into complete disarray.
By now he had already brought the entire island back to the waters near the Sabaody Archipelago.
The Sabaody Archipelago was made up of countless large and small islands. Once he arrived, Lin Xuan simply used Earth Release to set Ohara down in the sea nearby, turning it into one more island among the cluster.
With that done, he led a still-shaken Nico Robin ashore.
Ohara had lain at the bottom of the ocean for years. Thick silt covered everything, coral and seaweed had taken root in many places, and the buildings had been ravaged and eroded by sea creatures.
As Lin Xuan and Robin stepped onto the island, they could still see marine life that hadn't escaped in time, flopping and hopping across the ruins.
Looking at the devastation around her, Robin's eyes filled with tears.
Just as the Five Elders had said, the Buster Call had left Ohara unrecognizable. Much of it had been burned to the ground, and after years underwater it was little more than a broken shell.
Nothing had survived.
Seeing her homeland reduced to this, Robin's heart ached.
At that moment, Lin Xuan was surprised to receive a message from Orochimaru, who was still on Namek. The snake-like scientist said he was ready to return to the One Piece world.
Knowing Orochimaru's personality, Lin Xuan guessed he must have made some exciting discovery on Namek and couldn't wait to get back to his experiments.
Lin Xuan had actually been considering summoning him anyway—he planned to use Edo Tensei to bring back the archaeologists of Ohara.
He could perform the technique himself, of course, but he didn't have their DNA. Ohara, however, did.
The Five Elders would never have guessed that he hadn't brought the island back for its historical texts, but for the people who once lived there.
Collecting DNA was a job for a professional, and Orochimaru was the best.
What a coincidence—Lin Xuan had just decided he needed him when Orochimaru contacted him.
Soon, Orochimaru was sealed by Uchiha Madara and the others on Namek and sent over through the system.
With Orochimaru's return, Robin helped him quickly gather DNA samples from across the island.
Before long, everything was ready for Edo Tensei.
In a clearing amid the ruins of Ohara, Orochimaru carved a circle of intricate seals and brought in several unconscious White Zetsu as sacrifices.
"Edo Tensei!"
With a sharp cry from Orochimaru, the seals blazed with brilliant light. One by one, the scholars of Ohara were resurrected from the earth!
Robin stared in stunned disbelief as familiar faces appeared before her.
Then she spotted a certain figure with long white hair. Tears flooded her eyes again.
Unable to hold back, Robin rushed forward and threw herself into the arms of Nico Olvia, who had only just been brought back and was still dazed.
Watching the reunion, Orochimaru's lips curled into an excited smile. His long tongue flicked out and licked the corner of his mouth.
He wasn't moved by Robin's joy at seeing her mother again. What thrilled him was that these people were the forbidden scholars the World Government had feared so much.
He couldn't wait to talk with them and pry every secret of this world from their minds!
Lin Xuan quietly left the island, leaving Robin to enjoy her reunion with the people of Ohara.
Orochimaru, meanwhile, showed no hurry to return to his lab. He stayed behind, eager to speak with the newly resurrected scholars.
"Thank you, Guild Leader," Robin said from the bottom of her heart.
Not only had he let her see her home and her mother again, he had also given her back Jaguar D. Saul—the man who had sacrificed his life so she could keep living all these years.
After Lin Xuan and the others left, Robin told her mother and the rest of the scholars who she was and what had happened since their deaths.
When they learned everything, their jaws dropped.
"Little Robin… you're saying the Ninja Guild defeated the Navy?"
"Guild Leader Lin single-handedly scared off the World Government's super Buster Call?"
"The Naval Headquarters was occupied? The Five Elders were wounded?"
The scholars who had just been brought back could hardly process it all.
It was beyond shocking.
Unbelievable.
The mighty World Government, defeated twice by a single man—and forced to hand over Marineford in the end?
If they hadn't confirmed Robin's identity for themselves, they might have thought she was making it all up.
Robin understood their astonishment. Even now, when she thought back on it, she still felt the same disbelief. How could they not?
Afterward, Robin continued talking with them and brought up the idea of joining the Ninja Guild.
No one hesitated. They all agreed immediately.
They already knew their second chance at life came from Guild Leader Lin. More importantly, they could finally resume their research into the world's history—and this time they would have a powerful backer instead of working alone.
How could they possibly refuse?
With Robin's introduction, Orochimaru soon began exchanging ideas with Dr. Clover and the others.
Meanwhile, after leaving Ohara, Lin Xuan returned to the others and gave them a brief update.
Then he set out again from the Sabaody Archipelago.
Before long, his figure appeared near a massive bubble-wrapped island deep underwater—his destination this time: Fish-Man Island!
