"Has it been almost an hour already? Are you going to revive that guy or not?" Heekapoo asked boredly while continuing to lie back.
Kaito looked around. The number of Decepticons had already reached the hundreds, and the rate at which they were arriving had slowed to almost nothing. Even if he waited longer, probably not many more would come.
With the news having already spread not only among the general public but also through the military, who also knew more details such as Kaito stealing the AllSpark, there was probably not a single Decepticon who didn't know the current situation. More importantly, there wasn't a single high ranking officer among them who didn't know it.
"Alright, it's time." Kaito nodded.
"Finally." Heekapoo got up excitedly and pointed toward Megatron.
With Kaito's magic and control, the ice freezing all of Megatron's internal systems began melting at high speed without affecting anything else.
Once that was done, Kaito stopped holding the robot in the air and let it fall.
But it never hit the ground. Megatron only fell a few meters before regaining consciousness after being thawed. Quickly analyzing the situation, he grabbed onto the outstretched arm of the Statue of Liberty to stop his fall.
However, due to his size, strength, and momentum, the arm snapped off with ease. Megatron immediately grabbed the broken limb and drove it into the statue's body, sliding downward while leaving behind an enormous crack.
Just a few meters above the ground, he let go of the arm and leaped away, leaving behind a ruined symbol.
In front of him, the hundreds of overly obvious vehicles transformed, becoming robots that immediately knelt before their newly awakened leader.
"Lord Megatron. We kneel before you and celebrate your return."
"With you as our leader, defeat is impossible."
"Silence!" Megatron's hoarse mechanical voice immediately interrupted his subordinates' praise, not caring in the slightest for such superficialities. "Tell me what's happening. I can't sense the AllSpark anywhere."
"My lord." The Decepticon standing at the front rose. He had a broad, imposing frame covered in countless metallic systems and mechanisms that barely revealed his form as a transformed jet. His name was Starscream, one of the leaders of the Decepticons and this mission, second only to Megatron himself. "After spending years tracking you down, we finally located both your position and the AllSpark inside a secret military installation at Hoover Dam. But before we could launch our assault, another entity attacked the facility. During the attack, both you and the AllSpark disappeared.
Fortunately, the invaders didn't hide. They revealed themselves publicly. Because of that, every Decepticon on Earth is aware of the situation and is either here already or on the way."
"Fortunately." Megatron laughed disdainfully upon hearing that completely false and unrealistic word. He looked toward the sky. "This is clearly a trap. They're trying to lure us in."
"What? My lord, do you believe they'll try to eliminate us with some kind of area attack? Should we retreat and regroup?" Starscream asked.
But Megatron didn't answer, because he had already sensed the presence of the AllSpark.
Since the AllSpark was the origin of all mechanical life, every one of them shared a connection with it. The stronger an individual was, the stronger that connection became, with the most powerful even capable of sensing its location.
But even without that special connection that had allowed him to find the AllSpark before, Megatron would have found it this time as well.
Because Kaito wasn't hiding it. He had taken it out and was displaying it for everyone to see, even through the cameras, casually spinning it on the tip of his index finger as though it were a toy.
"Hey Megatron, want this?" he asked with a smile.
"Human, are you provoking me?" Megatron said threateningly.
"Human?" Kaito raised an eyebrow. "Do you really think I'm that weak?"
The next moment he picked up Heekapoo and vibrated into the spaceship. Before Megatron's eyes, and those of the entire world, it turned into a beam of light that vanished into space at incredible speed.
"He... just left?" Starscream muttered in confusion.
"He wants us to follow him" Megatron said while staring into the sky. "And that's exactly what we'll do."
"B-but my lord, what if it really is a trap?"
"There is no other choice. Make sure everything that happened is recorded and transmit it to Cybertron along with our real time location. If anything happens to us, they'll know where to find the AllSpark."
"I... understand, my lord." Starscream hesitated for only a second before kneeling before Megatron and carrying out his orders.
...
"So, how far are we going?"
"At full power, using all of its energy. Using the emergency system normally designed for escape, this ship will travel exactly one light year away in a few hours using hyperspace technology."
"What's hyperspace technology?"
"Basically, we enter an alternate space where the annoying rule that nothing can travel faster than light doesn't exist, the one that prevents us from doing it here. After covering the distance, we return to our own space."
"Ooh, that's a shame" Heekapoo said.
"A shame? Why?" Kaito asked, confused.
"Well, if we had something capable of traveling a light year in just a few hours through sheer speed alone, would it even matter using it for transportation? If we used it as a weapon, I don't think anything could survive it. It would punch through planets like they were paper."
"That's... an incredible idea" Kaito admitted with slight disappointment. "Although I don't think it's possible."
"Well, aren't you here? Once you become even faster, you'll be even more dangerous. And what's this nonsense about nothing being able to move faster than light? You're the one who makes the rules of motion."
"Are you complimenting me out of nowhere? I don't know what to say."
"I'm complimenting your strength, which happens to include me" Heekapoo corrected.
"So you were complimenting yourself?" Kaito raised an eyebrow.
"That's right." Heekapoo nodded proudly.
"Whatever. If you're not going to say anything useful, just stay quiet until we arrive, or rather, until this ship runs out of energy."
"Speaking of that, how are you controlling this ship? I thought it was alien technology and only Lala could operate it."
"Didn't you read all my memories? Lala modified it specially" Kaito asked.
"Do you think I'm going to go through every single detail? I only looked at the important parts, or the things that interested me. I'll see the rest later, so stop bothering me" Heekapoo replied dismissively.
"By the way, do you think they'll catch up quickly? I don't want it to end up being just the two of us waiting for a thousand years for a bunch of dumb robots so we can kill them in seconds."
"Really? Even though there are so many fun things just the two of us could do over the course of a thousand years?" Kaito laughed.
Heekapoo simply crossed her arms and looked at Kaito with amusement.
"Did you think I was one of your girlfriends who'd blush because of that?" she laughed. "Besides, your powers might basically be cheating and let you stay active almost forever, but don't forget I'm your own magic, so I can keep going for a very long time too.
I can even make clones, you know? When I get tired, another one will keep going. Let's see which one of us gets tired first." Heekapoo looked at Kaito with a gaze full of challenge.
"Do you have to take everything so seriously?" Kaito complained. "I was just trying to joke around a little."
"Ha, I bet the moment you run into one of your girlfriends, after kissing her, you'll drag her straight to bed."
"You really have a terrible image of me, don't you?"
"Just the one you showed me in your memories" Heekapoo said as she turned around and walked over to a nearby couch before lying down.
"Ah, I miss Mashiro's shy reactions" Kaito muttered as he watched her.
Heekapoo even deliberately exaggerated the sway of her hips as she walked away, drawing his eyes toward her tight dress.
Kaito realized that making her blush would probably be even harder than sleeping with her.
"Hey, stop thinking about that. You still haven't answered how long they'll take" Heekapoo called from behind.
"I don't know. But since they're literally the technologically superior race of the entire galaxy and reached Earth through space bridges, I doubt they'll take long.
If they do take too long, we'll just open a portal and bring them here ourselves. That would go beyond the limits of suspicious, and I'd risk them deciding not to come, but if there's no other choice, then there's no other choice."
"You really do care too much, don't you? I can see why they'd fall for you" Heekapoo said before using the couch as a bed, placing her hands behind her head and closing her eyes. As part of Kaito's magic that could feel his emotions, she could sense the immense pressure and urgency hidden beneath the calm granted by 'Impenetrable Mind' "Though I won't. Wake me up when we get there"
...
In the absolute silence of space, in the kind of region where there is nothing but empty space itself, where even the nearest asteroid is tens of millions of kilometers away, a sudden ripple in space released a prism shaped spaceship.
The ship simply remained motionless there, without moving or making any kind of motion.
Days later, a similar distortion appeared nearby, and an army of humanoid robots several meters tall emerged, the tallest among them being a ten meter tall completely gray and imposing figure.
Sharing a common objective, all of them approached the ship.
Meanwhile, inside it, Heekapoo watched them and raised an eyebrow.
"So he freezes because of the cold in Antarctica, but survives the cold of space? Amazing" she said with obvious sarcasm.
"That's because of temperature, matter, conduction, contact, and a bunch of other complicated scientific explanations. Stop looking for opportunities to criticize the logic of this world for one minute and come with me. Let's finish this mission already"
"Damn it, I lost this round"
