Three words made Mason Bennett hold his breath for a few seconds.
His hand gripping the phone kept tightening, suppressing intensely.
"Louis Lawrence, what exactly do you want to do?"
Mason squinted his eyes, his voice turning colder.
Louis Lawrence knew everything from beginning to end, yet somehow managed to distance himself.
Because of this, Mason didn't immediately go looking for Bella Green.
However, upon hearing Louis Lawrence criticize her, Mason could no longer hold back.
"Louis Lawrence, what are you plotting? In your schemes, is she in danger?"
Mason questioned.
Louis Lawrence chuckled softly; he knew Mason wasn't easily fooled.
"I won't let her be in danger, Mason Bennett. It's not that I'm dragging you into this, but rather, you're already involved in this matter and can't completely walk away. It's better if you cooperate with me."
The tone, tinged with deception, made Mason scoff.
"Louis Lawrence, using me comes at a cost."
