Chapter 117 - Fall of Abyrus

Scene — The Cataclysm Unleashed

Abyrus stood tall in his Cataclysm Form, his body pulsing with molten veins and crimson cracks that spilled fire into the ground. The corrupted energy around him twisted like living shadows, his power unmatched—Kael and Liora stood bruised, barely breathing, yet their eyes still burned with resolve.

Abyrus smirked darkly. "Is that all the you mortals can offer me?"

The air cracked as Kael raised his blades, whispering through clenched teeth,

"Spirit Guardian — Calcarus!"

A violent gust of wind tore the battlefield apart as a massive Wyvern emerged from the swirling shadows above. Its roar split the skies — wings slicing through the storm.

Kael's silver-black aura surged around him like a cyclone, eyes glowing with wind and darkness combined.

Liora stepped forward beside him, blood on her lips but fire in her spirit.

"Verdalis!" she shouted.

From behind her burst an emerald bird, radiant and fierce, scattering crystalline feathers across the air. Her whip, Verdora, shimmered with frost and earth energy, its emerald-blue light reflecting determination.

"Let's end this," Kael muttered.

Together, they launched forward.

Kael's Tenebris blades slashed like storms of shadow, while Liora's whip struck with icy precision, freezing Abyrus's movements. The Wyvern and Bird attacked in harmony — wind, ice, and light merging in perfect rhythm.

For a brief moment — it worked. Abyrus stumbled, his armor cracking, dark blood spilling.

Then his expression twisted. Rage overtook reason.

"You… insects…" he hissed. His eyes flared red, and suddenly his body burst open — hundreds of tentacles erupted from his back, writhing and screeching like demons.

The shockwave threw both Kael and Liora back. Abyrus's voice thundered,

"I am not yet done!"

The tentacles lashed out — slicing through Calcarus, through Verdalis, through their very bonds with the Beast Realm. Their guardians screamed as their forms shattered into fragments of fading light.

The link was severed.

Kael and Liora gasped in horror as the tentacles wrapped around them, crushing them in a crimson grip. Bones cracked, blood dripped down. Their weapons struggled to stay materialized. There spirt guardian and beast were destroyed by the tentacles

Abyrus loomed closer, laughing.

"Fall, mortals. Fall into despair!"

Both of them hung helpless in the air.

Then — something changed.

From behind Abyrus, the ground began to tremble.

A faint pulse — deep, slow, and terrifying — filled the air.

Anay's body moved on instinct.

His head hung low, fists clenched, his hair rustling under a wind that wasn't there.

His eyes snapped open — pure violet.

A surge of purple-violet aura erupted from him like a living storm.

The air became heavy, space distorted.

Under the crushing pressure, Abyrus's laughter stopped. His tentacles froze midair.

He looked down — his knees buckled. The earth cracked under him.

"So… this is… the power of…" he muttered, trembling.

Kael turned his head, his voice weak but clear, eyes fixed on Anay.

"Anay… will you?"

Anay's body trembled. His aura flickered like a storm about to consume him.

He clenched his teeth. "No… I can't… I can't!" His voice cracked with emotion and frustration. "It's your fight… not mine!"

Kael smiled faintly through the pain, his voice now almost gone.

"…Thank you, Anay," he whispered.

Liora's eyes snapped open — glowing bright white-blue. Kael's aura erupted again — dark green mixing with silver wind. Their powers pulsed together, merging perfectly, resonating as if soul-bound.

The Verdora whip and Tenebris blades began to glow — their light merging into a single shape, vibrating with immense spiritual energy.

Their combined voices echoed:

"Spirit Fusion— Dark Verdan Tempest!"

A blinding surge of energy exploded — vines, ice, and storm colliding with dark wind.

Abyrus -ahh, what is this I can't move that boy pressure... ahhh

The merged weapon struck Abyrus head-on, ripping through his chest, light erupting across the entire sky.

Abyrus screamed — a sound that tore through realms — as his form shattered into black ash, dissolving under the radiance of their final attack.

The explosion faded.

Only silence remained.

Kael and Liora stood together for a brief moment — smiling faintly at Anay, their bodies glowing with the same light as their own weapons.
