"I really didn't know that the Seymour Corporation is already under your control, and even the heir has changed without my knowledge!" Old Mr. Seymour's voice carried a laugh, yet it sent a shiver down Ethan Seymour's spine.
"Ethan, seems I've underestimated you." Old Mr. Seymour sneered coldly and asked, "Are you hoping I die sooner so you can take over?"
"No, Dad, I..." Ethan Seymour couldn't outtalk Old Mr. Seymour and ended up feeling even more frustrated after being sarcastically ridiculed.
After hanging up the phone, Old Mr. Seymour unhesitatingly called Charles Seymour. As soon as the call connected, he asked, "Did you just call Ethan?"
He simply didn't believe Charles would mock Ethan; Old Mr. Seymour knew his grandson well enough that he wouldn't bother with Ethan, nor did he have the time.
"I just asked him a question." Charles Seymour replied, and since it was Grandpa asking, he didn't hide it, "I just asked if James Reed had taken Ophelia Wilson back."
