Even though the two of them were not in the same place, Lu Zhang still helped her a lot. Lu Zhang had always been a gentleman, and the only time he wasn't was probably when he impulsively confessed to her after high school graduation.
Getting along with Su Weiyi, there was never any overstepping, and those topics that could easily lead to awkwardness were never brought up again by him.
The two of them were like friends. Later, Lu Zhang got a girlfriend in college, and his care for Su Weiyi became less intimate, like an older brother taking care of his little sister.
Even though Lu Zhang eventually broke up with his girlfriend, his relationship with Su Weiyi improved a great deal.

Su Weiyi started working, and Lu Zhang had firmly secured an offer from Imperial College to stay on for his PhD.
