Tears trickled down from the corners of her eyes, her frail appearance eliciting pity.
However, in the eyes of the short man, her miserable state was nothing to him; only the final words "I will" mattered to him.
"Alright! Everyone stop! If you had agreed earlier, would your grandfather have suffered like this?"
With a forceful tug, the short man lifted the girl up and without a word, shoved her forward.
The girl tried to look back at her grandfather one more time, but the short man's brute force gave her no chance, and she could only stagger forward like a lost soul toward the dark tunnel.
"What the hell are you all looking at! You idiots! Keep staring and I'll ruin your eyes!"
The old man lay alone on the cold grass, his shriveled body twitching slightly. Intimidated by the short man's tyranny, no one dared to reach out to help, so they all hid in their tents, afraid of causing trouble for themselves.
