Not all the security personnel are utterly deranged; some are truly just here for work, though they hadn't anticipated it being an entirely isolated job. Perhaps being cut off from the outside world for too long while witnessing so many bizarre and eerie things can inevitably lead their minds to become unhinged.
Some still maintain a semblance of sanity. Hearing their colleagues speak so, they can't help but shudder, with at least seven or eight people disagreeing with their actions—cannibalism is illegal!
However, they also know that voicing opposition at this moment would be tantamount to suicide, so these people wisely choose to say nothing, planning to seize the opportunity to break away from this group.
Yet despite only about ten people deciding to do so, they still pose a significant threat to the escaping children.
