Kriya said softly, "If we want to sail in this vast interstellar space, we must have a strong enough presence. A demigod is not enough; at least the Divine Realm. He thinks this way, and so do I."
"But you..."
Lake suddenly realized, and with a sigh, said, "I see. I fell into the trap."
"Lake, if I have to kill you, I'm sorry," Kriya sighed, "One of us, either I or Tal, must ascend to the Divine Realm. Otherwise, when we encounter a giant world again, we'll be devoured without a trace."
"Go ahead, Patriarch," Lake smiled slightly, spread his hands, and said, "I won't resist. From here on out, it's up to you to see the new future for us."
"Okay."
A formidable force flashed by, and Lake stopped breathing.
His half-plane emerged, fully merging with Kriya's half-plane.
The once damaged half-plane rapidly recovered.
