After having supper, saying goodnight, the family went back to their rooms.
Finished cleansing, Zhou Jiao looked into the mirror on the dressing table and applied some skincare lotion, lightly patting it on. Out of the corner of her eye, she saw Zhang Guoqing staring at her and threw a flirtatious glance.
Zhang Guoqing, seeing this, exaggeratedly leaned back, rolled on the bed, "Oh no, I'm poisoned again."
Zhou Jiao burst into laughter, stood up, walked to the bed, and slapped him, "Confess. What were you whispering with dad earlier?"
Before she could finish speaking, Zhang Guoqing grabbed her with his big hand, pulled her into his arms, lifted the quilt and rolled to one side, tucking her in, and playfully fiddled with her delicate hands, briefly explaining in a soft voice.
"Oh, just this matter? I thought you were snitching on me."
"You heartless little one, your brother loves you too much."
