The elder yawned as several females gently massaged his shoulders.
"When were they supposed to be back?"
"Three hours ago."
"Why didn't anyone wake me up earlier?!"
"They tried. You ordered the guards not to let anyone in, so they had to break in to wake you."
"...What's the casualty situation?"
"340 knights and three mages."
"Three mages?! Why did you send those vampires, you fool?!" the elder roared.
"If I hadn't sent them, we would have lost at least a thousand knights." The reptile responded calmly.
One of the women shot a lightning bolt at him, but the lizard easily dodged it.
He managed to survive because he was always prepared to deal with attacks.
"You little lizard react pretty quickly... Fine, even if we lost a thousand knights, so what? A bunch of peasants died, it's no big deal!
But if vampires die... They'll tear us apart for that!"
"But sir, if all the peasants are dead, who will attack the enemy's ark?"
"... How are our troops progressing?"
