"Damn, could they be from the herb-gathering team?"
Sun Zhe immediately quickened his pace. As he got closer, he focused his gaze and saw a man and a woman in the nest, being pecked by the large black bird.
The pair had been pecked into a bloody mess, their clothes torn to shreds by the bird's claws, barely hanging on to their bodies and offering no decency.
"Beast!" Sun Zhe roared, snatching a stone from the ground and hurling it at the bird.
Hit by the stone, the large black bird shrieked, cawing furiously as if cursing Sun Zhe foully. It released the man and woman, unfurled its wings, and shot out of the nest, charging toward Sun Zhe with a ferocious cry.
"You beast, didn't you learn your lesson from before?"
Sun Zhe's face was livid. Instead of slowing down, he accelerated, charging head-on to meet the bird. Lightning erupted from his body as he leaped into the air and threw a punch.
"SCREEE—!"
