"We won," Carter said with a tired smile.
But the smile faded almost instantly.
He felt it — something he had forgotten. Something massive.
Three celestial bodies were hurtling toward Earth.
And now… it was already too late.
The three objects had crossed the asteroid belt, drifting dangerously close to Jupiter.
In the outer layer of Earth's orbit, dozens of satellites suddenly shifted their direction.
Each satellite rotated toward the incoming celestial bodies.
A brilliant yellow beam erupted from the tops of the satellites, merging into a concentrated blast that struck the objects.
BOOM.
The celestial bodies exploded into dust.
"What…?" Carter whispered.
"Why did they just explode?" Ron wondered aloud.
Ron placed a hand on Rocky's shoulder, Rocky placed his on Carter's, and in one blink the trio teleported directly to the hospital entrance.
Carter called his sister. She rushed out immediately and took charge, handling everything without a word.
A Little Earlier
Bruce, sitting on his hospital bed, had also noticed the celestial bodies approaching Earth.
He pulled out his phone and dialed his butler.
"Yes, sir. How can I assist you?" the butler answered.
"Ron and the others might be in the middle of a battle. Can you take care of the celestial bodies coming toward Earth?" Bruce asked.
"Already handled, sir. Please rest. Earth is in safe hands."
Inside Bruce's Base
The butler stood before a massive supercomputer.
On the giant screen, every satellite owned by Bruce's company had already turned toward the celestial bodies.
He typed a series of commands and then hovered his finger over a large red button.
He pressed it.
Each satellite was powered by Ron's magnifying glass — its mystical energy fused with solar energy.
The combined power formed the devastating beam that obliterated all three celestial bodies in an instant.
AFTERMATH
Hero Town had begun rebuilding. A team from Carter's department inspected the plane‑crash site. They confirmed that there had been at least two men aboard besides the driver. The driver died in the crash, but the second man was missing. No trace of him could be found. Some of the investigators speculated he might have been a demon—like Red Wolf.
At the Hospital
Ron finished the paperwork for his discharge. Before leaving, he made one last stop at the ward where the little girl he had saved was being treated. She was still in a coma. Ron sat beside her on the small couch, lost in thought.
The door opened. A familiar doctor—Carter's sister, assigned to care for the girl—stepped inside. She paused when she saw Ron. His distant, shadowed eyes held a darkness so deep it made her shiver. The stethoscope slipped from her hand and hit the floor. The sound snapped Ron back to reality.
He stood, picked up the stethoscope, and handed it to her."Doctor… how is the girl doing?"
"She's still under careful care. Sir, please be patient," she replied gently.
Ron nodded and left the room. Carter, passing by the hallway, saw him and stopped, watching his old friend walk away. A moment later, his sister stepped out and spotted him sitting near the door.
"Ava, we need to talk," he said.
"Yes?" she replied.
"Remember when I asked you about marriage?" Carter asked quietly.
Rocky was resting in his room while Bruce—fully recovered—sat beside him.
"I heard there was another man with Red Wolf," Bruce said.
"During our fight, Red Wolf mentioned he lost 'Locki' because of us," Rocky replied.
"So the other guy was Locki… That makes sense. Foster is after him because he has the 'Key.' But why are demons after him too? Do demons have some kind of beef with Foster?" Bruce asked.
"What exactly is the Key?" Rocky asked.
"From what I've heard, it holds secrets about Foster, the Scars, and more. I think Foster wants to use it to find their weaknesses," Bruce explained.
Rocky nodded thoughtfully.
The door opened and Carter stepped in. Both Rocky and Bruce turned toward him.
"Something wrong?" Bruce asked.
"No… it's nothing," Carter said with a smile.
Two Days Later — Evening
Ron was sitting at home, scrolling through his phone, when a knock came at the door.
He opened it to find Carter standing outside.
"Carter? Please, come in," Ron said, guiding him to the living room. He brought snacks and drinks, setting them on the coffee table.
"So, Carter, what brings you here? I heard you were discharged two days ago. How have you been?"
"I'm good. Thanks for asking." Carter's tone grew serious. "I came to discuss something important."
"I'm listening," Ron replied.
"You know Foster is still after us. You and Rocky defeated one of their leaders and the other disappeared… but they're still lurking in the shadows.
Carter paused, then said, "But, I need your help with something, Ron."
Ron's gaze sharpened. "Go ahead."
"You know my situation," Carter began. "I have three sisters, and… thank God, two of them got married this week." He paused.
Ron nodded, silently encouraging him to continue.
"I have one sister left."
Ron raised an eyebrow. "So?"
Carter said. "I want you to marry her."
