Aurelia only heard the whooshing of the wind in her ears. She desperately tried to control the reins, but the horse showed no sign of stopping. She realized that this wouldn't work for long...
Squinting, she saw a patch of grass ahead. Aurelia put her feet on the horse's back, arched her body, and, seizing the right moment, jumped down as the horse passed by.
She rolled several times on the ground before stopping.
Her arm and calf were both bruised, but it was much better than waiting for the horse to go mad and throw her off, causing her whole body to be injured.
Aurelia rubbed her arm and stood up, when suddenly she heard a pained cry from a woman nearby. The next moment, Jovana Shaw's figure appeared in her vision.
Jovana seemed surprised to see her, or perhaps surprised to see her unharmed. Jovana opened her mouth wide, "Sister, are you okay?"
