The day winded down slowly when they returned to class; they had just finished learning about the main arteries in the human body when Ms.Dellis turned to the class with her classic scowl.
"Due to a certain students persistence, we will be having a small event for freshman in around four months." She didn't hide her glare towards Maria in the slightest.
Maria didn't seem to care as she gave her desk mate a high-five under their shared desk.
"But, there's a little catch." Maria paused and looked toward Ms.Dellis in confusion and even a little hurt.
"There'll be a little friendly competition between y'all, and I'm set on having two of my students get into the top five." She turned her head letting her scowl rise to a smirk
"And I'm damn sure not losing." She adjusted her glasses to fall at the top of her nose.
She walked toward the board clicking her heels as she wrote down the array of 'activities'.
1.Art
2.cooking
3.team strategy
4.performing arts
5.scavenger hunt
6.talent show
She stepped back and pointed her whip to Art.
"This shouldn't need much of an explanation, you'll have around 20 minutes to paint or sketch the person out vice principal chooses."
Tori's eyes shined brightly at the mention of art. Her ability really had a lot to do with it.
It wasn't as simple as conjuring up anything she wants, but making replicas of items out of invisible mass.
Most of the things she used for offense were sketches she drew or things she's seen on television.
Her supposed flying is just her making replicas of Stone slabs she stared at dazed as a kid.
Tori looked at Nora like she was a bout to combust from sheer unbridled joy.
Ms.Dellis being none the wiser continued on "Cooking is pretty self explanatory as well, you'll have 30 minutes to make a dish that's both tasty and eye-catching."
A blonde haired girl who was initially slumped over straightened up a little
"Team strategy will be a game where each freshman class will pick their top four students to play a game where students will wear point-recording suits with limited weapons." She yawned and let her arm flop down to her side
'Damn.. It's starting to get hard to even lift my arms up now.'
Ms.Dellis continued on after thankfully not breaking a hip while she was explaining.
"Performing arts will be singing, dancing, or a choice to play an instrument While the talent show will be anything that you choose, but it cannot be the same performance as the other activities."
Ms.Dellis stared at the class after she finished.
".."
"..."
A boy raised his hand shakily.
"Yes?" She pointed at the boy quickly.
"What about the-"
She beamed and said urgently
"I'm glad you asked, but it's top secret!"
".."

Side story:
Nora sat stiffly in her seat as Ms.Dellis listed the activities realizing she wasn't really good at any of them!
An itching sensation spread across her ankle causing her to hiss.
She runbed her ankle on her desk leg but paused with her mouth agape.
My-my mushroom!
She bent 90⁰ instantly and lifted her skirt to check the goods. The mushroom stem was bent a bit but wasn't damaged she exhaled relieved until she saw some of the stem juice trickling from her sock down to the inside of her shoe.
She decided to ignore it, because it was her only choice at the moment.
When the itch reached it's peak Tori looked over at her excitedly like she won the lottery she tried her hardest to smile despite the need to yelp for the nearest nurse.
End.
