Chapter 18 - Chapter 18 : SYSTEM STORAGE

Liam and Noah continued their sparring for two long hours.

Metal clashed.

Dirt scattered beneath their feet.

Their breaths turned sharp… ragged… painful.

"Ha… ha…"

Noah finally dropped to one knee, sweat streaming down his chin.

Liam fell backward onto the training ground, staring at the night sky that had quietly overtaken the world.

His lungs burned.

His arms trembled uncontrollably.

"Haa… Noah… let's… stop here… for today…"

Noah collapsed beside him, completely spent.

"Understood… my Lord…"

His chest rose and fell like a bellows about to break.

For a moment, the world was silent.

Two exhausted warriors lay on the cool ground, surrounded by the stillness of a newborn domain.

Thirty minutes later—

Liam sat alone in his room.

He wiped sweat from his face.

He leaned back in the wooden chair.

And the Lord Interface opened before him.

A soft ping echoed.

"Right… the Lord Chat Group…"

He rubbed his forehead. "I forgot to check the suggestions yesterday…"

He tapped the tab.

Instantly, lines of messages poured across the screen like a flood.

[I still can't believe one ranking test decided our entire future.]

[Same here. I prayed it was a dream. Still stuck with Common Shield Bearer.]

[Village Scribe. Why would the system curse me with a Scribe in a monster world?!]

[Patrol Captain. Not terrible, not great.]

[Anyone actually satisfied with their class?]

[Yeah. I ranked well and got Scoutmaster. Enhanced vision. Tracking. And a 20% chance to summon scouting units.]

[Ranked early hundreds. Awakened Uncommon Ranger. I'll take it.]

[Got Rare Beast-Guide. Still shocked I got something useful.]

[Some people get combat classes… others get support? Is the system laughing at us or what?]

[My friend got Combat Trainer. He even unlocked a building that can change two summons a day into combat classes. I'm jealous.]

[I got War Cook. I woke up with recipes in my head.]

[Honestly… that's important.]

[Can we change classes later? Does anyone know?]

[Maybe. If conditions are met—like that guy with the class-changing building.]

[Anyone else get a class that doesn't fit them at ALL?]

[YES. I'm timid. Why did I get Frontline Spear Soldier?!]

[Awakened as Bowman. Never touched a bow in my life.]

[Does rank = stronger class?]

[Some high ranks got strong classes. The rest are suspiciously quiet.]

[Probably hiding so they won't be targeted.]

[agreed]

[Anyone running low on meat? Killed a D-rank Split-Fang Wolf. Troops ate everything in one meal.]

[Same. Killed a Thin-Horn Deer. Looked huge. Fed ten people.]

[My troops inhaled an entire Horned Boar. Gone in minutes.]

[How are you storing your meat? Mine spoiled overnight.]

[Tried drying it over fire. Still spoiled.]

Seeing this, Liam almost laughed out loud. And then

The chat exploded.

[Are all of you stupid? USE SYSTEM STORAGE.]

[System storage? For meat??]

[YES, GENIUS. MEAT. IS. AN. ITEM.]

[But it says no living beings allowed]

[Do you think cooked meat is ALIVE?!]

[Oh my god]

[WAIT. So we could have stored meat from the start?!]

[YES! FOR THE LAST TIME—YES!!]

[Bro… I left my meat outside in a wooden bowl like a caveman…]

[Just tested it. Stored cooked wolf meat. Still warm.]

[ARE YOU KIDDING ME?!]

[I thought it was obvious!]

[WE TRANSMIGRATED YESTERDAY. NOTHING IS OBVIOUS.]

[NEW RULE: STORE ALL MEAT IN SYSTEM SPACE.]

[Agreed. Unless you LIKE rotten wolf meat.]

Liam scrolled silently as the Lords continued arguing… complaining…

A small smile tugged at his lips.

This was his new world.

Chaotic. Confusing.

And strangely… lively.
