The next day, Shurry had everyone repeat the process in reaching the 39th floor, with a few differences of course. It was this time, when groups were formed, and he made sure the gods had a perfect barrier around themselves, completely containing them in a protective cushion to help ease the burden on others. Though he didn't bother protecting anyone else, it was up to them to make it all the way down.
It had been the better part of the day, and the gods, while worried about their children, were thrilled by the scenes the very same made. An example of a level 8 in Leon was enough to inspire others to reach higher heights.
However, while the goal was to reach the 39th floor this time, Shurry was seen waiting for everyone on the 37th floor. Specifically, he had been waiting in the boss room. The first party to arrive was the Hestia familia and friends, including Takemikazuchi, and the Miach familia's members.
"Good, Lord Ganesha. You shall be the one to summon it forth this time." Shurry said, nodding to the god.
"Ahahaha! I! AM! GANESHA!" He released his seal just a little bit. And the dungeon began to cry out, and quake.
A short time later, the floor's irregular floor boss spawned, Ryuu's eyes went wide.
"What's the big idea?" Ryuu asked. "This monster… I've fought it before."
"Good, teach the others the method to kill this level 7 monster rex. Bell, you are not to interfere unless the situation gets bad. I already know you can eat this for breakfast."
"Got it, Sir Shurry."
"Lili! What's the plan?" Daphne asked.
"Yeah, whatcha cooking up, little bit?" Welf smirked, drawing his weapon, ready to head to the front line.
"Haurhime, cast your magic on Master Ouka, Master Welf, Lady Daphne, Lady Mikoto, and Lady Chigusa." Lili said. "Sorry Lady Nazza, I'm still a little too unfamiliar with…"
"WRONG!" Shurry shouted. "Haruhime, you will cast your spell on everyone!"
"Huh? But I…"
"Shatter your limits. You have what it takes. Now take that spirit, and eat the barrier in front of you."
"I'll try…"
"DO IT!"
"YES!"
Haruhime's mind was going a mile a second. The idea of using her magic to such an extent was not something she thought was possible. Yeah, it was just the stronger members of Takemikazuchi's familia. She thought so hard about it, the feelings were written on her face, and then…
"Lady Ryuu, please run interference while the others are prepared." Liliruca asked, seeing that Haruhime had an idea.
"Miss Lili… I can do it…" Haruhime took in a deep breath, and began chanting, believing in herself, and in her magic. The limits she'd previously known were soon dashed to pieces. And, then, she grew 8 tails of a golden light, each bumping and swaying against each other. "Let them grow…"
All of her tails took off like they had a mind of their own, and… Everyone with the exception of Bell, and Haruhime, received the spell.
Nazza, having also recently leveled up, had to look at her hands for a moment before acting, the sheer magnitude of the power she had in her grasp now was nothing to be underestimated. Then, notching an arrow, and pulling to full draw… She let her arrow fly striking deep into the monster's eye.
"Wow. The Delphine's blind in its right eye." Lili called out.
"Thanks for that, Lady Nazza." Chigusa said with a low voice, pulling back her bow, missing Delphine's other eye, but hit right into a pressure point.
"This won't take long. Let's get it!" Welf said.
"Wait for me, Welf." Ouka smirked, charging in with his axe raised.
Daphne ran right past both of them. "Out of the way boys, it's the ladies time to shine."
""Hey, that's just not fair!"" Ouka and Welf shouted out.
"Too bad!" Daphne said, thrusting her sword right into Delphine's head, in between the eyes. Her attack wasn't too ridiculously powerful, however, it did destabilize its ability to float for a moment. "Huh, maybe I should give this attack a name? I certainly didn't expect it to be so effective." She wondered, backspining away from the monster rex, landing on her feet sliding back about a meder.
Delphine, annoyed by the pesky fly, a strong fly, but a fly nonetheless, roared out spreading dragon's fear through the boss room, it prepared a fire breath, one that would reach a large cone of effect.
Ryuu was not in the right position to do anything about it. And the fire breath burned the air, a searing heat, beginning to melt solid rock, flames heading straight for Daphne.
"Huh?" She uttered staring into the flames she could scarcely comprehend.
"Ha, guess it's our turn to shine now, huh?" Welf smirked, running up, and with a single powerful slash of his unique magic sword… "KAZUKI!" A blast of fire came raging out combating the Delphine's fire.
Ouka, ran around, jumped up to the sky, finding a little ball of wind conveniently placed as a bounce board, he stepped off, getting a huge boost in speed, beginning his axe down, slamming Delphine's mouth closed in a single sudden motion. Sending all of the fiery breath right into its throat, searing it from the inside out.
"Don't think I'm just going to let you show me up like this." Mikoto said, then quickly chanted her spell. Catching Delphine in a gravity field, forcing it to land on the ground.
"Thanks, for that… Agaris Alvesynth!" Ryuu shouted, loud enough for Mikoto to hear her. "Followed up by the attack that ended this fight 8 years ago now. Gokuo!"
Ryuu landed, next to Welf and the others, placing her weapon on her hip. Delphine, the level 7 monster rex, was so severely injured that its recovery couldn't keep up with the gravity, thus it fell apart at the cracks Ryuu had just generously carved into its body. A few seconds later, the monster rex died.
The gods who'd just watched the battle with eager eyes were all giddy at the scene, especially Hestia, Miach, and Takemicazuchi.
"You see that! Aren't my children awesome!" Hestia cheered.
"They were a wonderful batch to be sure! I am Ganesha!"
"Oh come on, my little Aisepoo can beat that monster by herself."
"Really, Loki? Care to put that to the test?"
"As much as I'd love to see that happen. I'm only testing certain people, for specific reasons." Shurry noted with a sigh. "But if you want to, we can try it out, just means dinner will be a little longer wait."
"That's fine."
"We can wait to see wallenwhatisit handle that beast."
