Nox rejected the shared-rule offer before Jax could ask whether he planned to accept. The payment field vanished from every school screen, removing the Stadium Arbiter's claimed right to transfer a living fighter as property.
"His core is carrying somebody else's mark, while your field is carrying mine, so I am taking the part I earned," Nox said, moving away from the accept prompt.
The wounded Arbiter drove its remaining foot deep into the raised central boundary line. Six active anchors lifted around it, while the severed right leg dissolved into boundary force and began rebuilding beneath the damaged joint.
Nox watched the new limb follow the path Jax's last golden strike had exposed. Borrowed power had failed to kill the commander, but its overflow remained visible inside every bent scoreplate.
