The first sponsor fighter crossed the outer wall on a cable of white fire, with two more following from the warehouse roofs. Their aerial rigs carried them above the barricades where the Citadel's barrier could not reach without opening a firing line through civilian shelters.
Ava watched them from the gym roof with her palms already lit. Below her, volunteers moved children and medical crates away from the windows while Diana's feed showed the three contract marks burning under the attackers' collars.
"They are sharing sight through that sun relay," Vasa said over the radio, tracing the bright line between the rigs. "If one pilot sees a target, every fighter with the mark receives the same picture."
"Then stop looking at the pilots," Ava replied, lowering herself behind a ruined air unit. "Find the thing telling them where to look."
