At the beginning, it was all some interactive segments and gift exchanges and the like.
After that came all kinds of friendly matches.
At first the atmosphere was fairly relaxed, but as things went on both sides became more cautious; after a few rounds, each side had wins and losses.
The mood after that wasn't so friendly anymore, and the students on the other side proposed a temporary extra round of competition.
This hadn't been part of the original program. After the teacher leading the team came over and discussed it with everyone, a student said, "We're not fighting for bread, we're fighting for face. Of course we've got to accept the challenge."
After the leaders of both sides discussed it, they agreed to the extra competition. As for what to add, obviously it couldn't be decided by just one side.
Afterwards, they were notified that each side would propose two extra events.
