Vellamira stared at Yveric's standing corpse for a moment, the smile on her face still remaining. After a couple of seconds, the smile gradually faded as the excitement from the battle wore off.
"It's such a shame, Yveric. I've watched you grow up since you were a kid."
She stated with a calm expression as she stood with her hands behind her back, her eyes still not leaving Yveric, who stood with his eyes wide open and a hole in his left chest.
When Vellamira said that she had watched him grow up since he was a kid, she wasn't joking. She had kept an eye on him, not out of any kind of affection, but simply to keep tabs on him, as he had been appointed Knight Commander centuries ago.
But it wasn't just Yveric. She had kept an eye on every single Knight Commander and every single Primarch before Azaron, Nazark, and everyone else. And it wasn't just the Wargraves, either, but all the Ducal Households and Nobles. Even the Imperial Families were under their watch.
