When Yusuke and Griselda walked out of the alley, they were immediately swarmed by crowds pulling out their phones to take pictures of them.
The scene of a woman falling from a rooftop while a man caught her and saved her in his arms was simply too unbelievable.
It looked straight out of an old Indian movie or some stupid K-drama scene.
"Holy shit! Did you see that?!"
"He actually caught her!"
"No way! She fell from that building!"
"Is this some kind of movie shoot?!"
"Quick! Take a picture!"
"That was at least twenty stories high!"
"He's carrying her like a princess!"
"Why are his arms still intact?!"
"Wait, wait! Don't move! I'm recording!"
"He looks average, but why am I getting wet seeing his figure?"
Originally, when Griselda cried out while falling from the building, she had already attracted the attention of countless passersby.
Everyone stopped and looked up, but there was nothing they could do except helplessly watch the foreign looking blond woman plummet toward the ground.
Then Yusuke caught her.
The scene was so astonishing and shocking that many people could barely believe their own eyes.
A grown woman weighing over fifty kilograms falling from a building more than twenty stories high should have generated a terrifying impact force. Under normal circumstances, anyone stupid enough to try catching her would be lucky if they only ended up with shattered arms and dislocated shoulders.
Heck, even a simple bottle of water falling from that height could seriously injure someone, or even kill them under the wrong circumstances.
Yet that young man had not only caught her, but had done so while holding her in a princess carry as though she weighed nothing at all.
While the two were talking, the crowd had already begun reacting to what they had witnessed.
However, nobody immediately rushed toward them.
Most people remained where they were, either staring in disbelief or busy discussing what they had just seen.
It was only after Yusuke put Griselda down and the two of them walked out of the alley that the crowd finally surged toward them.
Phones were raised in every direction as people hurriedly took pictures and recorded videos, afraid they might miss the chance to capture the unbelievable scene.
"How annoying."
Griselda clicked her tongue in annoyance. In her eyes, these tactless, social media obsessed idiots were doing nothing but ruining her precious time with Yusuke.
However, the mature woman immediately decided to take advantage of the situation.
She quickly grabbed Yusuke's hand and said, "I'll handle it."
Before Yusuke could reply, a dazzling burst of light suddenly erupted outward.
The brilliant radiance instantly engulfed the surrounding area, forcing everyone to shut their eyes as the crowd cried out in alarm and confusion.
"My eyes!"
"I can't see!"
"What is this?!"
"Solar Flare?! Krillin, is that you?!!!"
...
"Phew! We escaped!"
A few blocks away, Griselda let out a sigh and patted her chest. Looking around to make sure nobody had followed them, she smiled and said, "You must be hungry, right? Let's go."
"Yeah." Yusuke glanced at the hand holding his. At some point, this woman had actually interlocked her fingers with his.
'Holding hands this fast? How lewd!'
The weather was scorching hot, but to Griselda, her heart at this moment burned even hotter than the sun's core. Every time it beat, it felt as though it was pumping endless joy through her entire being instead of blood.
Walking side by side with the man she loved, she often glanced at their interlocked hands. She was so immensely happy that Yusuke hadn't noticed yet...
Wait!
Perhaps he had noticed and simply liked it?
After all, he had called her beautiful!
'Maxing out my credit card wasn't in vain!'
Griselda almost wanted to wipe away the imaginary tear at the corner of her eye. Whenever she remembered how much she had spent on clothes last time, she couldn't help but wince.
'It's an investment! Yes, it's all an investment for the future!'
Even though she was an Ultimate Class being, Griselda wasn't rich. Or rather, she had never been interested in wealth to begin with. Most Church warriors were the same. They were interested in serving God and spreading His teachings, and of course, purging heathens and dark races such as Devils and Vampires.
Xenovia and Irina were no different. When they first came to Kuoh Town, someone had scammed Irina by selling her a fake painting of Jesus, leaving the two of them completely broke. They were fortunate enough to meet Yusuke. Otherwise, they would have ended up sleeping outside or taking shelter in some abandoned church.
"Are you sure you know the way?" Suddenly, Griselda was pulled out of her reverie by Yusuke's voice.
'Wait! Where are we going again?'
Griselda snapped back to her senses. She had completely forgotten where they were even heading and had instead been immersed in fantasies about Yusuke. The feeling of his large, big, thick hand had occupied her entire mind. She couldn't stop imagining those hands roaming over her body and hugging her tightly as he had earlier.
'Hehehe!'
Wiping the drool slipping from the corner of her lips, she nodded confidently, "Of course!"
'Bullshit. We've been going in circles. We passed this place three times already!'
Yusuke's brow twitched, but he forced a smile and nodded. "Alright."
He didn't want to embarrass her by exposing her right now.
That was far too early.
In the first place, it was strange that he, a person who had lived in this town for years, was being guided around by someone who had only arrived a few days ago.
"Hmm, don't worry. I know a great place to eat!" Griselda tightened her hold on his hand and spoke confidently.
"Of course you do," Yusuke replied with the same smile.
As they continued walking, he glanced at the familiar convenience store they had just passed a few minutes ago.
Fortunately, it seemed that Griselda's sense of direction was not nearly as terrible as that of a certain green haired swordsman. It's just that she had not been paying attention to where she was going earlier.
Now that Yusuke had nudged her, Griselda quickly got her bearings and began leading him toward the restaurant she had already tried the day before.
Since she had planned to go on a date with Yusuke today, no matter what, she had obviously prepared everything in advance. She had even picked out the places they would visit afterward.
'Everything is going perfectly according to plan.' Griselda adjusted her nonexistent glasses.
As the two passed by an accessories shop, Griselda suddenly came to a stop. Her gaze lingered on a pair of accessories displayed on the counter. They were blue and green key accessories, exquisitely made in the shape of doves.
When she turned around, she met Yusuke's curious gaze.
"Do you want to go check them out?" he asked.
"Yes."
Griselda's smile brightened as she pulled him inside.
"Welcome, dear customers!"
The two were greeted by a polite woman who bowed at a perfect ninety degree angle.
One of the best things about Japan, aside from the vending machines, was the customer service.
The employees were often so polite and attentive that customers would sometimes feel guilty for not leaving a tip. Unfortunately for them, tips were generally not accepted, no matter how much appreciation they wanted to show.
"I'd like to take a look at this one," Griselda said, pointing at the accessories she had noticed earlier.
The clerk opened the display case and carefully took out the pair of keychains before placing them on a small tray and bringing them over.
With a professional smile, her gaze lingered for a moment on the hands Griselda and Yusuke were still holding.
"It's an excellent choice, miss. This is a couple's keychain set," the clerk said warmly. "It would suit a lovely couple like you perfectly."
'Nice! You deserve a raise! No, a promotion! It wasn't for nothing that I prepared this beforehand!'
Hearing the clerk's praise, Griselda's smile widened noticeably.
Naturally, this little "accident" was not an accident at all.
She had specifically chosen this shop in advance after discovering that it sold a couple of accessories. In fact, she had even spent a considerable amount of time browsing through its catalog yesterday.
She discreetly glanced at Yusuke. When she saw that he didn't correct the clerk, the immense joy that surged through her was so intense that her panties started becoming wet, 'He didn't deny it!'
'Is this a sign from him?'
'He loves me, right?!'
'He must! He absolutely must!'
Yusuke picked up the green keychain and examined it carefully before turning to Griselda.
"Do you want it?"
"Hmm."
Griselda hummed softly. As expected of her Yusuke, he was so thoughtful!
She wanted to reach out, take the keychain, and personally attach it to his keys, but she soon fell into an important dilemma. To do that, she would need to use both hands, and right now, one of them was occupied holding Yusuke's.
If she let go now, who knew when she would get another chance to hold his hand again?!
Maybe he was still unaware that they were holding hands. If that was the case, it would be incredibly embarrassing for her to try to hold his hand a second time.
'Yusuke has good relationships with many women. Perhaps he has done things far more lewd than just holding hands. It's normal for him not to notice this.'
The moment that thought crossed Griselda's mind, her expression cooled. Her eyes sharpened, and for a split second, a chilling aura erupted from her before disappearing the next instant.
Then her smile returned, 'It doesn't matter. That's a flaw I can fix.'
"D-dear customer?"
The yandere aura that erupted from Griselda nearly scared the poor clerk onto her backside.
She had no idea what that chilling sensation from earlier had been, but just looking at Griselda now sent a shiver down her spine. Forcing a smile onto her face, she asked, "Would you like me to wrap it for you?"
"Yes, please," Yusuke replied with a polite smile.
He acted as though he hadn't noticed Griselda's sudden mood swing.
[This blond cow! Doesn't know her place! Hurry up and walburg her!] Naturally, B2 wasn't about to let such a perfect opportunity pass without making a bloody comment.
