The moment the enemy's attack came hurtling forward, Spider-Man's spider-sense flared violently—a tingling warning shrieking in his nerves.
But it was too late.
Even though his senses had reacted, his body couldn't catch up. The gap in combat power was simply overwhelming.
Before he could evade, a massive hand grabbed Spider-Man's head and slammed him into the ground.
BOOM!
A massive crater exploded beneath them, splitting the earth like shattered glass. The shockwaves rippled outward, and the stunned crowd gasped collectively, frozen in terror.
Their perceptions were shaken.
Wasn't Spider-Man supposed to be the powerful one?!
He had just dominated the battlefield seconds ago. Now, with one terrifying blow, he had been completely subdued.
It was incomprehensible.
Standing tall in the broken earth was a monstrous new blue symbiote—larger, fiercer, exuding raw power. Its very presence radiated dominance.
Even Iron Man's mechanical eyes widened:
"This… Who the hell is that?! Another alien monster?!"
Beside him, Venom's tendrils twitched uneasily. As a fellow symbiote, he could sense the truth—and it chilled him.
He knew the blue species. They were stronger than most ordinary symbiotes, yes—but still nowhere near Riot, the symbiote warlord. Riot was a commander, a leader. A living weapon.
And yet, in front of everyone…
Emily, the blue symbiote, was absolutely destroying him.
Venom murmured in disbelief:
"This can't be… What kind of monster is possessing Emily now?"
There was only one explanation: Emily's human host was incomprehensibly powerful.
So powerful, in fact, that an ordinary symbiote had just overpowered one of the Symbiote Empire's fiercest generals.
Down in the crater, Spider-Man struggled, his silver-white armor trembling under the pressure.
Nathan's voice echoed from above, cold and calm:
"Riot, you don't leave Earth unless I say so."
Spider-Man tried to resist, but Nathan's hand might as well have been a mountain. No matter how hard he fought, he couldn't move an inch.
Shock and fear clashed in Riot's heart. This host—this man—was impossibly strong.
He wasn't just stronger.
He was in a completely different league.
Riot couldn't understand it. Emily had never been exceptional. She was a standard war-class symbiote. By all logic, she should've lost.
Unless...
Her host was leagues above Spider-Man's own capabilities.
Riot's rage boiled over.
"Emily! You dare stand against me? I'm your commander!" he roared.
"You're just a soldier! You don't attack your leader!"
Suddenly, silver spikes exploded from Spider-Man's body, lashing out toward Nathan like a sea of blades.
In response, Nathan's arm morphed into a gleaming shield, blocking the deadly tendrils with a loud clang!
Sparks flew. Spider-Man took the opportunity to roll away and climb back to his feet.
Riot snarled from within him, voice trembling with rage:
"You would betray your race?! Become a disgrace like Venom?!"
Venom, watching nearby, nearly exploded.
"Excuse me?!" he growled.
"Who the hell are you calling a disgrace?!"
"This is about power—not race! You just don't like that someone defied you!"
Riot was furious, but confident.
"Emily will obey. She always has. If she detaches, this man's power will vanish. He'll be helpless."
"Then we'll seize control, summon more symbiotes, and conquer this planet together. This is our destiny!"
In his mind, Riot still believed he held influence.
But Emily stayed quiet.
Because deep within, Emily was terrified.
She could feel the dormant power pulsing beneath Nathan's calm exterior. It wasn't just strength—it was the kind of horrific power that tortures without killing, breaks without mercy.
It wasn't loyalty that kept her bonded.
It was survival.
Emily dared not move.
A long silence followed.
Riot's confidence cracked.
"…Emily? Are you… betraying me?"
"You're siding with a human? You're just like Venom now?!"
Venom snarled:
"Watch your mouth, Riot!"
But Riot was too enraged to listen.
Before he could speak again, Nathan moved.
In a blink, he exploded forward, fists glowing.
"Do you really think she'd dare?" Nathan whispered as he rushed in.
Spider-Man lashed out with massive scythe-like arms, cold steel flashing under the light.
But Nathan was faster.
He dodged like a serpent, slipping through the blades, then twisted his body and hurled a punch directly into Spider-Man's chest.
Spider-Man's body convulsed.
Spikes burst from his frame in defense, but Nathan's fist swelled with energy, crashing through it all.
BOOM!
Spider-Man slammed back into the earth. A larger crater formed, swallowing rubble and metal.
The impact separated Riot from Spider-Man momentarily, and a tortured scream rang out.
The pain was excruciating.
Every nerve in Spider-Man's body screamed.
Venom gasped from the sidelines:
"Oh god… what kind of host is this?! If only I had one like that…"
Through all this, Venom and Riot realized something else.
Emily hadn't betrayed anyone.
She had simply been terrified into obedience.
And that alone—to force a symbiote into such loyalty—was horrifying.
Only one being in symbiote lore had ever done something similar…
The Symbiote God.
And yet here Nathan was.
Doing it casually.
Nathan's punches rained down again.
BOOM! BOOM!
Riot's cries were muffled by the thunderous impacts.
Spider-Man coughed blood, yelling:
"I'm trying to SAVE the world! You're stopping me! You're ruining everything!"
"The world is broken! I'm fixing it!"
Nathan paused, eyes narrowed.
Then calmly responded:
"No. Riot has twisted you. You're being used."
He raised his hand, ready to forcibly extract Riot from Spider-Man's body.
Panic surged in Riot's voice.
"Use the sound weapon! Now! Before it's too late!"
"Yes, I'll suffer. But we'll escape. Just do it!"
Spider-Man didn't hesitate. He pulled a black device from his suit and activated it.
WAAAAAANGGG!
A piercing soundwave erupted across the battlefield.
Everyone winced.
Even Iron Man stumbled.
"What the hell?!"
Venom screamed, convulsing violently. His black liquid skin rippled uncontrollably. Eddie's face flickered beneath.
Riot writhed in agony, the silver layer bubbling and steaming over Spider-Man's body.
In a final desperate move, Riot tore himself free and landed in Spider-Man's hands.
"Run! NOW!"
Spider-Man turned to flee.
But it was already too late.
A giant hand wrapped around his neck.
Nathan had grabbed him like a misbehaving kitten.
Emily, untouched by the soundwave, stood tall and unharmed.
Riot's heart sank.
"…How? HOW IS SHE FINE?!"
Nathan smirked.
"Thanks for helping me pluck him out."
With a swift smash, the black device was crushed.
The noise stopped instantly.
Venom collapsed. Riot went limp.
Iron Man, panting, looked on. He had observed something crucial.
"Wait… Venom and Riot are affected by sound… but Emily isn't."
"There are TWO types of symbiotes?"
His mind raced. "Either she was born immune, or... she's evolved."
Venom, still groaning, whispered:
"…Noise doesn't work on her anymore? That's impossible…"
Nathan didn't answer. He simply raised a hand.
An invisible force wrapped around Riot, pulling him into a sealed field.
"Mission complete."
And just like that, Nathan soared into the sky and disappeared.
Without a word. Without a glance at Venom.
Venom stared blankly.
"…Did he… just ignore me?"
Eddie sighed.
"Well… at least we're not enslaved. That's a win?"
"…Great. Just great."
A moment later, the sky opened once more.
WHOOSH!
Steel plates slammed into the ground.
Iron Man's Anti-Hulk Armor assembled, gleaming and ready for war.
But the battle was already over.
Tony frowned.
"Who was that guy?"
War Machine slapped his back.
"Hey, if your armor had arrived sooner, you'd have crushed that Riot guy yourself!"
Tony shook his head.
"No. That man was something else. Not even my best armor could've stopped him."
"That was a god in disguise."
