The battle erupted instantly.
Glenda raised both of her hands, and with a wicked smile release a devastating barrage of magic spells as it tore through the dark night sky.
Magic bolts dozens of them shot forward like machine gun fire, each one crackling with destructive energy towards Vivienne and Edgar.
Meanwhile Lightning attacks arced through the air, illuminating the street in brilliant flashes.
KRA-KOOM
With flames spewing from the magic circle, and small tornadoes forming around the place.
As a Concentrated beam attacks followed, slicing through the darkness with lethal precision.
It was overwhelming and relentless.
A full offensive designed to obliterate her opponents in seconds and leave nothing behind.
But Vivienne and Edgar didn't flinch.
As Edgar looks at Vivienne,who
Begin moving her hands with practiced precision, as dozens of magic circle appeared.
Meanwhile multiple layered barriers
shimmered, translucent walls of pure magical energy, materialized in front of her and Edgar. Each layer rotating at different angles to deflect and absorb the impact.
The magic bolts begin slamming into the barriers and dispersed, their energy scattered harmlessly into the air.
VREE-TANG
The lightning attacks split and redirected along the barrier's surface, grounding themselves into the earth in controlled bursts.
Meanwhile the beam attacks struck the outer layer and refracted, bending away at impossible angles before dissipating.
Meanwhile Vivienne then used a vacuum spell to erase the tornadoes and fire that were created.
Vivienne's expression remained calm, analytical.
Huh a barrage attack. High output, low precision.
She's testing our defenses.
"Now!" Vivienne commanded.
Edgar surged forward.
As Edgar charges,Vivienne's barriers shifted like a fluid , changing the structure of the barrier, as a part of the barrier covers edgar staying ahead of him as he charged.
Which the barriers soon was absorbing every attack Glenda threw at him targeting him.
Meanwhile Vivienne begin her move as well rushing towards Glenda preparing multiple magic circle.
While Edgar continues charging towards Glenda.
Perfect coordination.
Not a wasted movement.
Glenda's eyes narrowed as she watched them approach. Noticing they're coordination and thinking of only one thing.
She slammed both hands into the ground.
" Terra's Thorn!"
The earth beneath Edgar's feet erupted violently.
Massive stone spikes each one as thick as a tree trunk shot upward with deadly speed, aiming to impale him from below.
But Edgar was already making his move to counter it.
His lips begin chanting latin words at speeds that can't nearly be understood, quick and precise.
"Lux gladii, abscindit tenebras"
His sword shine as a blazed of holy light glow with radiant energy that pulsed with divine power.
He swung in a wide arc.
SLASH
The blade cut through the stone spikes like they were made of wet clay, shattering them into harmless fragments that scattered across the street.
Meanwhile Edgar continues to charge forward, eyes locked on Glenda.
Behind him, Vivienne's hands moved in a blur.
Dozens of magic circles materialized around her complex, intricate patterns layered in three-dimensional arrays.
Offensive formations,enhancement matrices, and dozens of spells that dwarf Glenda's spell.
She began firing.
Soon Compressed magical projectiles shot forward in rapid succession each one tracking independently, with them curving through the air and locking on to attack Glenda from multiple angles simultaneously.
At the same time, enhancement magic washed over Edgar.
His speed more than doubling.
His strength amplified.
His reflexes sharpened to superhuman levels.
Even his sword glowed brighter, the holy energy intensifying.
As Edgar continues to receiving the equivalent of stacking buffs.
Glenda cursed under her breath as she was forced onto the defensive.
She threw up multiple barriers in rapid succession earth walls, magical barrier, deflection arrays but Vivienne's attacks were relentless.
Several projectiles were repelled but some broke through, scorching her robes, cutting shallow wounds across her arms and shoulders.
She stumbled back, gritting her teeth.
I can't fight them both like this.
The stupid priest is enhanced beyond normal human limits.
And Vivienne... she's gotten stronger. Far stronger than when we were colleagues.
Glenda slammed her foot into the ground.
" Mud Trap !".
The earth beneath Edgar suddenly liquefied, transforming into thick, viscous mud designed to trap and drag him down.
But Edgar's enhanced strength allowed him to rip his leg free with raw force, breaking the spell's hold through sheer physical power.
"Not good enough!" he shouted, voice echoing with righteous fury.
Immediately Glenda begin creating more spells,and slammed her foot again
" Gaia's Wrath!"
Immediately poisonous sentient vines appeared from the ground.
Striking towards Edgar and Vivienne with their poison thorns, and Immediately wrapped around their barrier.
Meanwhile soon several new tornadoes appeared and this time they were more powerful and are enhanced by magic. The tornadoes soon begin sucking rooftiles, plants,debris,and the flame begin wrapping around the tornadoes making them fire tornadoes.
With them then slamming into Edgar barrier. The fire was starting to burn the barriers put around Edgar.
But Edgar remained calm,and patient,as Vivienne proceeded to create pressurised water, blasting the flame.
Glenda's eyes widened.
They're getting closer-
I need to distance myself.
She raised her hand and activated her emergency teleportation spell.
A high-level spatial displacement designed for emergency escapes. She had set up two points in case anything like this happened.
Her form flickered and vanished.
She reappeared thirty meters away, on top of a nearby rooftop, breathing hard, already preparing her next attack.
I'll bombard them from range again.
Wear them down,and then create a clone for them to fight while she strike towards absolute de-.
"Nice try" someone said. Causing Glenda to froze.
Vivienne was already there standing directly beside her on the rooftop.
Glenda's breath caught.
How!?
"Spatial magic is my specialty, Glenda," Vivienne said coldly guessing on what Glenda was thinking, magic circles spinning around her like a constellation. "Did you really think you could teleport away from me?"
She thrust her right hand which was in the form of a fist,striking Glenda jaw with an enhanced uppercut in the face.
CRACK
Causing Glenda to be launched into to the air. As multiple concentrated blasts of magical energy erupted behind Vivienne magic circles, slamming into Glenda at point-blank range. (She learned CQC from Edgar)
BOOM!!!
BOOM!!!

Glenda was sent flying backward once again, crashing through one of the rooftop, tumbling across the slanted surface before and slamming into a chimney. Breaking a teeth or two.
She gasped, pain exploding through her ribs.
She followed my teleportation.
And countered before I could even react.
Blood dripped from her mouth.
Damn it ! I can't fight them head-on.
I need to-
Edgar appeared at the edge of the rooftop, having leaped up with his enhanced physical abilities.
He landed with a thud, sword still glowing, eyes cold and focused.
"You're cornered, Glenda," he said evenly.
"Surrender."
Glenda pushed herself up, one hand clutching her injured ribs, the other raised defensively.
Magic circles began forming around her again unstable, chaotic, pulsing.
"Surrender?" She laughed bitterly. "You think I'll just... give up? After everything?"
Her eyes blazed with fury and desperation.
"I've spent decades researching! Experimenting! Pushing the boundaries of magic while you, Vivienne, played house with your pet priest!"
Vivienne's expression didn't change.
"I didn't play house, Glenda," she said quietly. "I made a choice and the choice i made ,had in turned made me stronger."
"STRONGER?!" Glenda screamed. "You abandoned your potential! Your legacy! For him?!"
She gestured wildly at Edgar.
"You could have been one of the greatest magicians of our generation! Instead, you chose mediocrity!"
Edgar raised an eyebrow. "Mediocrity? That's harsh."
Vivienne's magic circles spun faster.
"I didn't abandon anything," she said, voice like ice. "I chose a life that made me happy. A partner who respects me. A family I love. And I'm still one of the greatest magicians of our generation."
She stepped forward, power radiating from her.
"The difference between us, Glenda, is that I don't sacrifice innocent lives for my ambitions."
Glenda's expression twisted.
"You don't understand-"
"I understand perfectly," Vivienne interrupted. "You wanted to use Lavinia. All for your research for power."
Her eyes hardened.
"And I will never allow that."
Glenda snarled and raised both hands.
"Then I'll just have to eliminate you both!"
Massive magic circles formed above her larger, more complex, crackling with unstable power.
She's preparing a high-level attack.
Something desperate.
Edgar shifted his stance, gripping his sword tighter.
Vivienne's magic circles multiplied, layering into defensive and counter-offensive arrays.
"This won't end well for you, Glenda," Vivienne warned.
"We'll see about that!"
And the fight continues.

Meanwhile as the battle continues.
Vivienne has Her hands moved in a blur, and multiple defensive arrays manifested instantly once again rotating barriers, deflection fields, spatial distortion zones.that bent the incoming attacks away from their targets,teleportation circle teleporting the attacks somewhere else or sending it back to Glenda.
At the same time, she began setting up counter-offensive formations, her magic circles multiplying and positioning themselves strategically around the battlefield.
And immediately fired back an absurd amount of spells was fired towards glenda.
With Glenda creating a powerful spell, blocking the attack or it ricocheting.
Glenda was getting more angry and annoyed.
I can't fight for her too long, looks like I'll try to use this spell.
And soon a giant magic circle appeared,as the magic begin concentrating, slowly concentrating into a sphere.
Vivienne widened her eyes seeing that.
Is Glenda trying to create a Bomb !?
"Take This You Traitor!" Glenda shouted and
Immediately the sphere was launched towards Vivienne and Edgar.
Vivienne meanwhile begin preparing to create more barriers. With her somewhat worried.
This is bad !
If i don't set up any additional barriers,
From the size of the spell,this could devastate the space she set up,and a part of the place.
Immediately Vivienne created multiple barriers around herself and Edgar as well around the bomb to reduce the blast and shockwave it would create. Meanwhile the magical bomb explode.
BOOM
The blast of the bomb was so powerful it broke and shattered the barrier it was encased, meanwhile Vivienne was doing her best to hold the blast from hitting her or her husband,and to prevent the blast from ripping the space she created.
The impact was immediate,as the bomb shockwave sent and destroys many trees around them as well damage or leveled some parts of the goddamn buildings and the ground.
CRACK
But several layers of barriers begin to cracks.
This is bad , Edgar thought.
But thankfully the blast soon begin dissipating, before being able to crack the final barrier.
Meanwhile Edgar took a deep breath, having a sifh relief but then glanced at his wife.
"Looks like I'll have to use that, huh?"
Vivienne nodded, not taking her eyes off Glenda. "I'll give you time."
"I know you will."
Edgar stepped back slightly, planting his sword into the rooftop, and began to pray.
His voice was steady, reverent, spoken in flawless Latin.
"Domine, auxilium tuum imploro..."
"Lord, I call upon your aid..."
"Et per spiritum militum Templi..."
"And through the spirit of the Templar Knights..."
Holy energy began to gather around him, faint at first but growing stronger with each word.
Meanwhile, Vivienne and Glenda entered a full-scale magical duel.
Spells flew between them in rapid succession fire met ice, lightning clashed with wind, light meet dark, earth meet plants,and beams of magical energy collided with spatial distortions.
Vivienne's arms was moving with incredible speed, casting spell after spell, her hands a blur of motion as magic circles appeared, activated, and dissolved in fractions of a second.
Deflecting countless spell targeting her.
But Glenda was no amateur either.
She matched Vivienne's pace, her own spells weaving through the air in chaotic but effective patterns.
With their fight looking like a light show.
Meanwhile Vivienne leaped backward, landing on a spatial platform she'd created mid-air, but one beam clipped her leg, drawing blood.
She's good.
Better than I expected.
"You were never this evil in pursuing power, Glenda," Vivienne said, breathing hard. "What happened to you?"
Glenda laughed bitterly, launching another barrage.
"Evil? Evil?! I'm a Magician! I pursue knowledge! Understanding! To gain Power That's not evilit's ambition!"
"You orchestrated that girl's parents' deaths, didn't you?" Vivienne demanded, deflecting another attack.
Glenda's expression flickered just for a moment.
"So what if I did?" she said coldly. "They were obstacles. The girl needed to be studied ,it was necessary."
Vivienne's eyes widened in fury.
"You murdered innocent people-"
"They were irrelevant!" Glenda shouted. "Just like you were irrelevant the moment you abandoned the magicians!"
"I didn't betray anyone!" Vivienne countered, launching a concentrated spatial blade that forced Glenda to dodge.
"Didn't you?!" Glenda snarled. "You left Grauzauberer! You married a non-magician! You chose him over your own kind! And that's a crime especially marrying a priest"
Vivienne sighed, her expression hardening.
"Betray in what sense, Glenda? I left Grauzbaurer to have a normal life, Mephisto didn't mind that when i announced my resignation at grauzbaurer,I chose a life that made me happy. That's not betrayal that's choice."
She shook her head.
"I can't believe I used to call you my friend Glenda but i see now your a disgusting human being who only cares about yourself"
Glenda's face twisted with rage.
"And I can't believe you squandered your potential!"
" You were supposed to be one of the greatest human magician to ever live,even rivaling the likes of Gondul,and many others
,bu in the end you throw it a way"
She raised both hands, and a massive magic circle far larger than any before formed above her.
Dozens of smaller circles appeared around it, all rotating, all charging with destructive energy.
"You want to talk about crime !?" Vivienne asked. "You, and all the others who quit or got punished for 'violating ethics one of the codes of a magician"
Vivienne's expression grew cold.
"You were expelled, weren't you? For experimenting on unwilling subjects."
Glenda's smile was vicious.
"I was punished for being ahead of my time."
She thrust her hands forward.
"And now DIE!"
The magic circles pulsed and unleashed.
A massive, concentrated magical bombardment descended toward Vivienne dozens of elemental attacks converging into a single, devastating strike designed to obliterate everything in it's path .
Glenda's eyes blazed with triumph.
"Let's see you dodge this, Vivienne!"
But Vivienne smiled.
Glenda's expression faltered.
Why is she smiling ?
Soon a figure was running from the roofs towards her, with a voice rang out across the battlefield.
"GLORIA IN EXCELSIS DEO!"
Edgar's voice amplified, resonant, filled with divine power.
Glenda's head snapped toward him.
Her eyes widened in shock.
Edgar stood atop the rooftop, his entire body wreathed in brilliant holy light.
His sword glowed like a miniature sun, radiant energy pouring from the blade in waves.
His eyes shone with golden light.
His presence felt immense like a warrior of legend given form.
"The Will of the Warrior of God!" he shouted.
And he moved.
Faster than any normal human could ever be.
Faster than Glenda could track.
Immediately he appeared in front of Vivienne.
He swung his sword.
A massive blade of holy energy erupted from the weapon cutting through the air, slicing through Glenda's descending bombardment like it was made of paper.
The magical attacks shattered by the holy energy,dissolving into harmless light.
"WHAT!?" Glenda screamed.
Edgar didn't stop.
He swung again and again.
Holy slashes tore through the air, as each one carved itself through Glenda's defenses, cutting her magic circles apart, forcing her onto the defensive.
"Impossible-!" Glenda raised her hands, instantly forming new barriers and dozens of spells.
Edgar's slash cut through them.
"HOW?!"
Edgar laughed a fierce, battle-hardened sound.
"Divine blessing, Glenda! The Lord stand with me! "
He glanced at Vivienne.
"Let's finish this!"
Vivienne nodded, her own magic flaring to life.
Dozens to hundreds of magic circles materialized around her, stacked in intricate three-dimensional arrays.
Offensive formations,spatial manipulation spells,and elemental spells.
Glenda's eyes went wide with terror.
"No-NO-!"
She desperately began forming her own defensive arrays layer upon layer of barriers, earth walls, magical shields,as she prepared for a teleportation spell.
But it wasn't enough.
Edgar raised his sword high.
" FINAL JUDGMENT !"
Vivienne thrust both hands forward.
"Spatial Convergence !"
Their attacks launched simultaneously.
A pillar of holy light descended from Edgar's sword, crashing down like divine wrath cutting through the area and into Glenda, one of her arm was instantly cut by it, slicing her arm off. Meanwhile the holy energy soon be burned her from the huge amount of concentrated holy energy striking her.
Meanwhile a concentrated torrent of elemental magic erupted from Vivienne's arrays, converging into a devastating beam,that bombard the area with a light show,and tears in space begins appearing around the area.
As if Glenda wasn't punished enough by being continuously burned by the holy attack, her body was now being ripped and torn apart piece by piece by the spatial attack.
As her stomach was strike by the spatial Convergence spell,as her stomach was ripped open, while piercing her intestine and organs.
Her organs then begins being ripped apart piece by piece by the spatial Convergence, creating huge both painful and gruesome things inside her.
As her guts was being cut apart.
Her kidneys was also being shredded as, multiple tears damage it.
Meanwhile her ribcage were cracked by the attack,and her lungs begin to have holes.
Her ligament was stretched put and then tear apart.
"AHHHHHHHHHH!!!!". Glenda meanwhile Continues to scream, while unable to do nothing due to Vivienne settings up a gravity spell for Glenda.
Meanwhile the explosion of light and energy was blinding to say.
If Vivienne hadn't made the pocket space,the blinding light would have been seen dozens of km away.
The shockwave of the events shattered rooftops,creating cracks on the ground, sending many objects flying.
The air itself seemed to also scream.
And eventually the light faded.
The attack was finally finished.
Which on ground zero of the attack.
Glenda lay on the ground, broken and bleeding.
Her robes were torn. Her body was covered in burns and cuts and literally she was missing some section of her body. Her stomach was ripped open. As a part of her organ was showing.
Her internal organ was shredded.
She was missing one of her arms while her other arm lose some of her fingers.
Blood pooled beneath her.
But she was still breathing.
Still conscious.
Still alive.
Somehow.
Edgar landed beside her, sword pointed at her throat.
"Give up," he said firmly.
Glenda coughed, blood dripping from her mouth and her entire body.
"Never..." she rasped.
I willl never surrender.
Her hand moved weak, trembling and a faint magic circle began to form. Which begin to shine and rotate. Glenda meanwhile smiled wickedly.
Immediately alerting them,and a blast of magical explosions burst around Glenda.
Vivienne's eyes widened.
"No-!"
While Edgar immediately realised what Glenda she was doing and went straight for the kill, targeting her neck,before she used this chance to escape,but it was too late.
KA-BOOM
As the explosion was set off,Glenda useher second emergency teleportation spell.
Flash
She vanished.
Meanwhile Vivienne was only able to set up some barriers around her and Edgar, because of that the explosion was able to injure them.
Vivienne soon ache from the pain ,but also immediately realize Glenda had escaped, she immediately raised her hand to chase her.
But pain shot through her injured body. Causing her to lose some concentration.
But Vivienne immediately begin casting a teleportation spell again not wanting for Glenda to escape. But sadly she was unable to lock on where Glenda went.
With her then frowning and turned to her husband.
Meanwhile Edgar cursed. "Damn it!"
Vivienne lowered her hand, breathing hard, clutching her injured shoulder and arm.
"I'm sorry," she said quietly. "I couldn't stop her in time."
Edgar shook his head. "Don't. You did everything you could. We both did." While also feeling the pain that was cause by the explosion it was light but would take weeks to heal.
Edgar looked around at the street.
The rooftop was destroyed with many missing tiles, cracks on some houses or what remains of it,scorch marks everywhere, broken trees, destroyed gardens and grass field.
Debris was everywhere,the streets looks like they were hit by bombs with many having giant holes.
"We're going to have a lot of damage control to do," he muttered while counting the cost to replace and fix the damages.
Vivienne nodded wearily. "I'll contact the cleanup teams. And the authorities. They'll handle it."
Edgar sheathed his sword, the holy light fading.
"At least Lavinia's safe," he said.
"Yes," Vivienne agreed softly. "At least there's that."
They stood together in the ruined street, battered but victorious.
The battle was over.
But sadly Glenda had escaped.
And they both knew
This wasn't over to say the least.

Now if your wondering, it's unknown if Lavinia parents being killed was an accident or not but considering the words that ishibumi wrote mysterious explosion at work.
It's somewhat clear that Glenda orchestrated considering she was immediately able to get lavinia after her parents death,and somehow Lavinia not remembering what happened between that.
Not to mention she or someone probably spotted absolute demise,so it's clear on how she got lavinia in the canon.
Moving on you might notice the amount of Edgar talking in latin and it reacting to it, an idea i have implemented in the story.
Considering In the real world chanting is an important thing in prayers with latin being the language used by the church,In the story incantation obviously respond to things.
So that's why i made the holy combat technique.
Another reason why i made this, is because considering the fact heaven,And the Churches are really underpowered in some cases like come on at most the majority of the exorcist only have holy swords and light gun. that can be probably easily defeated.
I know that Vasco Strada exist and he's a monster by definition and he's basically the pinnacle of a normal human. And can be sent to face dangerous opponents but he's old not to mention relying on a sole person usually is bad considering he's only one person.
So because of that i created the holy Combat technique. Also to expand on the lore of the church and the templar.
The way the holy Combat technique works, it requires you to make different prayers or incantation,and the holy technique responds to that.
The holy Combat technique when activated would concentrate a huge amount of holy energy/element to the person.
Using the technique,it will temporarily cover the person or increased the person holy energy. Giving then an increase edge in offensive and defensive things against any dark creatures aka most supernatural.
The technique is somewhat weaker in the present day than when it was during the days when God was still alive,due to it connection to the divine system but it still is no joke when facing an opponent that is using it.
The main factor on how powerful the technique can become is based on the person training, as well as their belief of God,like how they view him, their perspective of what is God and their understanding of him. But a person will also shape the technique.
This is somewhat a lost art,due to the information of these were only known by the Templar,due to them making these technique. With the help of their founders.

Also this is my first fight scene for magic battles. So how do you think, which i think it might be a stiff,so sorry about that.
And in your opinion what are Vivienne,and Edgar power level at ? since I'm trying to not overestimate they're capabilities ,like is it high class atleast or low ultimate class.
