Chapter 81 - Chapter 81:- It Was All True

(A/N: Since I have three ongoing fics going on, and with my job making it hard to even write one chapter a day, it's become hard to stay in touch with the story properly, most importantly the minute details, like what Smoker's rank is right now, or what are their current bounties, because there are a few things I write impromptu without planning, and I don't have time to properly write everything down or go through the chapters again.

Maybe I might have missed something here and there, so if you find any inconsistency, like captain rank or bounties, please be kind enough to let me know in the comments so that I can modify the inconsistency to make sure the story is streamlined and others can have a seamless experience reading my stories.

Even if you don't comment on my stories, if you just point out these inconsistencies to me, I'll be able to fix them and make sure the reading experience of my other readers doesn't get affected. Thanks for understanding.)

The ships sailed forward, and the sky opened its arms.

The white clouds parted, and Angel Island appeared before them like a dream.

Sanji walked onto the beach, his cigarette still burning. But his eyes weren't on the sky. They were on the Dune Serpent. He had watched the whole exchange—Nami crying into Takuya's chest, Nami screaming at the winged people, Nami flipping from rage to sweet smiles in the span of a breath.

She hadn't looked at him once. Not once.

But he had heard everything. Every word. Nami, standing there in front of those guards, saying that Takuya was hers. That he could do whatever he wanted with her. That he had earned that right.

Sanji's chest tightened. He remembered how Nami had first reacted to Takuya—the suspicion, the name-calling, the walls she had built so high. And now? Now she was saying it out loud. In public. To strangers.

'He got her to go from hating him to claiming him as hers,' Sanji thought. 'And she didn't even hesitate.'

She had only looked at Takuya during that whole exchange. Played along with whatever he said. Didn't argue when he called her "his." Didn't pull away when he held her. She had just... let him. Wanted him to.

'She didn't even know I was there,' Sanji thought. 'Or maybe she did. Maybe she just didn't care.'

He took a long drag. The smoke curled into the clean sky air.

'She's happy. That's what Luffy said. That's what I saw. She's happy, and it's not because of me.'

He looked at Takuya, who was helping Robin step onto the cloud shore. One hand held hers, steadying her. The other rested casually at his side. He was gentle with her—soft, almost tender. Then he turned to Vivi, gave her a small smile, brushed a strand of hair from her face. Affectionate. Easy.

And then he looked at Nami, and his expression shifted—still warm, but with an edge. A smirk. A challenge. Dominant in a way that made Nami's cheeks flush but didn't make her step back.

'He's gentle when he needs to be,' Sanji realized. 'Dominant when he wants to be. And he does all of it like he's having fun. Like it's a game.'

Takuya caught Nami's wrist, pulled her closer, whispered something in her ear. She shoved his chest, but she was smiling. Genuinely smiling.

'He belongs everywhere,' Sanji thought bitterly. 'And I'm just... watching.'

He exhaled and followed the others onto the beach, his footsteps heavy on the cloud.

Conis approached them, her wings folding against her back. Su, her small fox-like pet, trotted beside her.

"Welcome to Skypiea," she said, her voice warm but cautious. "I hope you find whatever you're looking for."

The white clouds parted, and Angel Island appeared before them like a dream. The beach was made of soft, solid cloud—Island Cloud, spongy and strange underfoot.

A lush tropical forest stretched behind it, leading up a staircase to Lovely Street and the village beyond. A few fluffy sofas and lounge chairs were scattered under the shade of an awning. Everything was clean, calm, impossibly bright.

Takuya looked at the village—the strange curved buildings, the dials embedded in the walls, the people watching from doorways with curious, wary eyes. He stepped closer to Robin, his hand brushing hers.

"Robin," he said, his voice low, meant only for her. "There's a city of gold somewhere up here. Lost for centuries. I want it."

Robin's eyes gleamed. She turned to face him, her lips curved in a knowing smile. "And the answers?"

Takuya stepped closer, close enough that his chest almost brushed hers. "I already know all the answers this island has to offer me."

Robin tilted her head, intrigued. "Do you? Then why are we here?"

His hand found her waist, fingers pressing gently against the curve of her hip. "Because I wanted to see your face when you discovered them for yourself. It's one of my favorite things."

Robin's lips twitched. "One of your favorite things?"

"Mmm." He leaned in, his lips brushing the shell of her ear. "Right after watching you get lost in old texts. And right before watching you get lost in me."

Robin shivered, but not from cold. Her fingers tangled in his hair, pulling his face closer to hers.

"And here I thought I married a simple man," she murmured, her voice low and teasing.

"And yet you married me." He simply said nonchalantly.

"A lapse in judgment." Her eyes sparkled. "You practically forced me into it."

"Liar."

She laughed softly. "Fine. A calculated risk. You made an offer I couldn't refuse."

Takuya pulled back just enough to meet her eyes. "The gold, the history, the secrets—they're all secondary." His voice dropped lower. "What I'm really interested in is exploring you. Your mind. Your looks. Your body. Every corner of you that you haven't let anyone see."

Robin's breath caught. Her fingers slid from his hair down to his chest, splaying over his heart.

"And what happens after you've explored all of me?" she asked, her voice barely above a whisper.

He caught her chin gently, his thumb tracing her lower lip. "Then we'll find something else to uncover. Together."

"You keep saying that," she murmured. "Together."

"Because I mean it, wife." His voice was warm, teasing. "The answers don't matter as much as who I'm finding them with."

Robin's cheeks flushed, but she didn't look away. She smiled—open, warm, completely unguarded—and pressed a soft kiss to his thumb.

"Then let's go find that gold," she said, her voice steady but soft. "Gold for Nami. Adventure for Vivi. And when they're both satisfied..." She traced a finger down his chest, slow and deliberate. "We'll explore each other. Thoroughly."

Takuya's grin widened. "I wouldn't dream of denying my wife a proper exploration."

Robin's eyes sparkled. "See that you don't."

He caught her hand and pressed a kiss to her knuckles. "I always deliver, dear."

Robin laughed—low, warm, full of affection. "I'll hold you to that."

Takuya smiled, the kind of smile that belonged only to her. "I'm counting on it."

Behind them, Nami watched with narrowed eyes. Robin was still pressed against him, her hands still on his chest, her smile still lingering. She didn't care who saw. She didn't care who knew. She just... took what she wanted.

Nami's stomach twisted. She clutched the cookie pouch in her hands a little tighter.

'Why can't I do that?' she thought. 'Why can't I just... reach out and take what I want?'

Vivi appeared beside her, her voice low and knowing. "You're jealous."

Nami's head snapped toward her. "I'm not—"

"You are." Vivi's smile was gentle, but her eyes were sharp. "And you have no right to be. She's not doing anything wrong. She's just... expressing what she feels. She's his wife, Nami. It's her right to touch him. To hold him. To be close to him however she wants. She earned that. She married him."

Nami opened her mouth to argue, but nothing came out.

Vivi continued, her voice soft but firm. "You had your chance, Nami. You've had plenty of chances. You could have said something at Jaya. You could have leaned into him when he held you on the ship. You could have kissed him back when he teased you. But you didn't. You were too embarrassed to admit it."

Nami's face went red. "That's not—"

"It is." Vivi's eyes met hers. "I saw it. Robin saw it. Even Mira probably saw it." She glanced at Robin, who was still standing close to Takuya, her hand resting on his arm, her body angled toward him like she belonged there. "Robin won't hesitate. She never does. She's his wife. She'll take as much of him as she can get, and she won't feel guilty about it for a second. She doesn't have to."

Nami's hands were shaking. She didn't know if it was anger or hurt.

"So what am I supposed to do?" she whispered. "She has a ring on her finger. I don't."

Vivi turned to face her fully. "Then earn one. Stop hiding. Stop pretending you don't want what Robin already has. Stop getting angry every time he teases you or breathes in your direction." She paused, her voice dropping. "Just start enjoying him being around you. Stop being a tsundere. You're not a teenager with a crush anymore, Nami. You're a grown woman. Act like it."

Nami opened her mouth to argue, but Vivi held up her hand.

"And if you don't solidify your position soon, you might not have a chance. Robin is already halfway to becoming a yandere for him. She's not going to share nicely forever. She's already told him she wants exclusive time. One more push and she might start hiding him in a basement."

Nami blinked. "That's... that's not funny."

"It's not meant to be." Vivi's eyes were serious. "I've seen the way she looks at him. She's patient now. But patience has limits."

Nami looked down at her hands. The cookie pouch was warm against her fingers.

"...What about you?" she asked quietly. "Aren't you going to do something about her hoarding him all to herself?"

Vivi smiled—slow, confident, almost mischievous. "I was on the backfoot till now. I wasn't sure what I wanted. I was still figuring things out. But now?" She tilted her head, her eyes gleaming. "Now I feel free. My head is clear. I know exactly what I want."

Nami stared at her. "And what's that?"

Vivi's smile widened. "I've already planned stuff. Don't worry about me. Focus on yourself."

Nami's jaw dropped. "You—you've planned stuff? Since when?"

"Since I stopped overthinking." Vivi patted her arm. "You should try it sometime."

Nami was silent for a long moment. Then she looked up. Robin was laughing at something Takuya said, her hand still on his chest, her body still close to his.

Nami swallowed.

'She chose this. She chose him. And she didn't let fear stop her.'

'I can choose too.'

She didn't move toward him. Not yet. But her eyes didn't leave him.

Vivi watched her and smiled.

'It's a start,' she thought. 'A small one. But a start.'

And somewhere in the back of her mind, Vivi was already counting the steps of her own plan.

Conis looked at Takuya. "But be careful." She hesitated, her wings twitching. "This island... This island has a god. And he does not welcome intruders."

The white shore stretched before them. And somewhere in the clouds above, a god was already watching.

Luffy's head snapped toward her. "A god?"

"A god who does not welcome intruders."

Luffy grinned. "I've never met a god before. Sounds fun."

Before anyone could react, he bolted. Rubber legs pumping, arms flailing, he shot across the cloud beach toward the village. "WHERE IS HE?! I'M GOING TO FIND HIM!"

Zoro grabbed the back of Luffy's vest just before he disappeared into the trees. "You're not going anywhere, idiot. We just got here."

"BUT THERE'S A GOD! I WANT TO SEE THE GOD!"

"You'll see him when we see him. Now sit down."

Luffy pouted but stopped struggling. His eyes, however, were still scanning the forest, already planning his escape.

Conis stared at the scene. Then she looked at Takuya, then at Nami, then back at the rubber man who had tried to sprint into the jungle.

"I can see this is going to be a long day," she said, her voice faint.

The sun—or whatever passed for the sun up here—shone down on Angel Beach, and the adventure had only just begun.
