Chapter 24 - Chapter 24

"Let me think where to throw it. How about on this tree? Hahahahaha, you Mudblood, can your big, clumsy friend reach it? Hahahahahahaha"

Malfoy stared intently at Hermione, then sneered before speaking. Suddenly, he felt a gaze fiercely directed at him, and the sinister smile on his face immediately receded. His lips twitched slightly as he was about to let out a cold snort, but his sweeping gaze suddenly froze. Immediately, an angry roar echoed across the entire lawn.

"Give it back!" Harry was furious. Ignoring the pleas of his Gryffindor classmates, he mounted his broom and chased into the air.

Hermione stamped her foot and finally spoke to Harry. She anxiously shouted, "Harry, come down! Madam Hooch told us not to mess around; you'll get into trouble!"

Harry ignored her, mounted his broom, and quickly got entangled with Malfoy. Although it was his first time flying on a broom, he surprisingly found that he seemed to be a natural at it, always making the right moves at the right time.

The Gryffindor witches below screamed, and Ron also shouted, "That's so cool, Harry!"

"Give it back, Malfoy!" Harry and Malfoy chased each other in the air, neither willing to back down verbally. Brian watched with great interest from below. Indeed, talent truly allows one to do whatever they want. Not only did Harry successfully retrieve Neville's Remembrall, but he was also selected by Professor McGonagall to join the Quidditch team.

Although Brian was completely uninterested in joining the Quidditch school team, he was very envious of Harry's flying talent. An extra skill meant an extra means of escape.

A sharp pain in his foot brought Brian back to reality. It was the puffed-up little witch who had come to his side and stomped on him hard, indignantly saying, "Brian, you should have stopped Harry. This will bring trouble to us Gryffindor."

Brian shrugged helplessly and quietly explained, "You know, in that situation, I couldn't stop him. Malfoy was really too much. Besides, what he said to you was too nasty; he deserved a lesson."

Hermione was slightly stunned but still grabbed Brian's arm, desperately pulling him forward: "You hurry and stop him! I'm afraid Harry will be expelled."

Brian sighed slightly and pointed his finger at the sky, signaling Hermione to look up.

Harry, on his broom, had completely suppressed Malfoy, and amidst the frightened cries of the crowd, he swooped down and caught the Remembrall that Malfoy had thrown in desperation.

Malfoy's smile instantly froze on his face. Ron, unable to bear it any longer, pulled out his wand and shouted at Malfoy in the distance, "Petrificus Totalus!"

If he hadn't been afraid of hurting Harry, Ron might have done it earlier. Malfoy was truly too much. And the Weasley Family and the Malfoy Family had always been sworn enemies.

Malfoy looked down at Harry from the highest point, muttering curses. Struck by the sudden spell, his feet immediately came together. He panicked, struggled desperately a few times, broke free from his flying broom, and plummeted straight down from the sky.

Because Ron had cast Petrificus Totalus, Malfoy accelerated headfirst, plummeting straight towards the ground. Pansy Parkinson, Daphne, and even Hermione, among other girls, all screamed, their faces pale.

Ron had been so angry that he hadn't thought of this outcome. Now, sobered, he trembled all over, not knowing what to do. Brian frowned slightly, and finally pulled out his wand and very softly chanted,

"Wingardium Leviosa."

Malfoy was saved by the Levitation Charm just as he was about to hit the ground. His face had no color left, and cold sweat streamed down his forehead, quickly soaking a small patch of grass below.

Hermione finally breathed a sigh of relief, glaring angrily at Ron and shouting, "Were you trying to kill him?"

Ron didn't retort; he was almost scared senseless.

"Harry Potter!" Professor McGonagall was walking briskly towards them. "How dare you fly like that? You'll break your neck. Come with me, Potter!"

Anyone with eyes could feel Professor McGonagall's building, almost erupting anger and dared not speak. Harry could only mechanically follow Professor McGonagall. He was somewhat desperate; he was very afraid of being expelled and sent back to The Dursleys.

Only Brian noticed that just before Professor McGonagall left, she had glanced at him. His face went pale, and he couldn't help but put a hand to his forehead, his lips twitching slightly.

It's over, it's over, I've been exposed again.

Professor McGonagall must have seen him use the Levitation Charm to save Malfoy. Originally, no one had seen him use the spell; everyone's attention was on Malfoy. But… Brian felt his neck stiffen, and he had difficulty expressing his bitterness.

Malfoy finally recovered. Angrily, he pushed away Crabbe and Goyle, who were helping him, walked over, grabbed Ron, and started walking away.

Worried that Ron might be harmed by Malfoy, Hermione quickly pulled Brian and chased after them, but they were blocked by Goyle and Crabbe. They only heard Malfoy's voice, quiet yet filled with extreme anger.

"I want to duel you alone, a Wizarding Duel, tonight, in the Trophy Room." Malfoy disdainfully glanced at Brian and Hermione approaching. "These Mudbloods and other idiots can come along. It's to the death."

Seeing Madam Hooch already walking back, he turned and left with Crabbe and Goyle, full of swagger. Suddenly, he turned back and smiled contemptuously. "You should know what a Wizarding Duel is, right?"

"Of course," Ron had recovered, and said indifferently, "Harry is my second."

Just as Malfoy finished his harsh words, a new temporary mission was issued in Brian's mind.

[Temporary Mission: Midnight Duel]

[Mission Content: An enraged Malfoy is about to engage in a Wizarding Duel with Ron Weasley. How can one become the strongest Wizard in the Wizarding World without experiencing a legendary Wizarding Duel? Help Weasley win the duel!]

[Reward: Upgrade Points +3]

[System Message: Crush all your opponents, young man]

Brian sighed inwardly. He feared trouble, but sometimes the system would very humanely propose troublesome temporary missions. Although these three upgrade points looked very tempting, Brian would never fall into the same pit twice.

After all, he was caught red-handed by Professor McGonagall last time he completed the Transfiguration task, and today he was seen by Professor McGonagall for saving Malfoy.

As he recalled, Malfoy didn't seem to go to the duel site but instead leaked the information to the caretaker, Filch. If Mr. Filch told Professor McGonagall, once was luck, but three times, he wouldn't know how to explain it.

After all, Professor McGonagall is an old peeping tom.
