"Hehe, Chancellor Sheppard, I'll be the one to look after the Sacred Beasts. Aside from me, no one is qualified for such a responsibility!" Pierre the Gambler, dressed in a sharp white suit, laughed slyly.
"Please leave this place," Chancellor Sheppard said calmly.
"I'm not leaving until you agree," Pierre replied, shrugging his shoulders.
"Then don't blame us for being impolite! Sentinels!" Professor Crowler shouted with a wave of his hand. Several students from the disciplinary committee, dressed in green uniforms, stepped out from the surrounding area. However, their appearance did little to change the situation.
Pierre performed a crisp backflip, and several cards flew from his hand like streaks of light, subduing the students instantly.
"Is this really all you've got?" Pierre said with a smirk.
"Pierre! This isn't a place for you to just mess around!" At that moment, the elevator doors slid open, and Alexis Rhodes arrived on the scene with You Feng and the others. Alexis stared at Pierre, her voice cold.
"Alexis, hehe, long time no see. You're as stunning as ever," Pierre chuckled.
"I'm not here for small talk. Let's have a duel. If you can" Alexis started to say, but before she could finish, You Feng reached out and grabbed her slender hand, gently pulling her back toward his side.
"How about leaving this to me?" You Feng asked. He had a task to complete, otherwise, he really wouldn't have minded watching Alexis duel.
Alexis was stunned for a moment before realizing her hand was being held. A crimson blush crept across her pretty face for no apparent reason. She eventually nodded. "Then... I'll leave it to you."
"You Feng!! Speak if you want to speak, but let go of Alexis's hand!" Chazz Princeton roared from behind them.
The others hadn't thought much of it initially, but Chazz's outburst made them realize You Feng was still holding her hand. Alexis grew embarrassed and quickly pulled her hand back.
"Ah... so You Feng is interested in Alexis? It looks like as her older brother, I'll have to help out," Atticus Rhodes whispered to himself, unable to contain his excitement.
"And who are you? What's your relationship with Alexis?" Pierre demanded, his voice thick with jealousy. He had a long-standing crush on Alexis, and seeing another man openly holding her hand made his blood boil.
"Who I am isn't important. What is important is that after you lose, you get lost!" You Feng said flatly. His personality was as headstrong and untamed as ever.
"What an arrogant brat! Fine! I'll defeat you right here in front of everyone!" Pierre narrowed his eyes.
"I didn't expect things to develop this way..." Bastion Misawa blinked in surprise.
"Yoshi! Now we get to see You Feng duel again. This is going to be a treat!" Jaden Yuki couldn't help but chime in.
"That guy isn't simple," Zane Truesdale remarked quietly.
The battlefield shifted from the Chancellor's office to the Duel Academy arena. There weren't many spectators this time, but every important figure was present.
"You Feng! You must uphold the academy's reputation. Good luck!" Chancellor Sheppard said, feeling a bit excited. Watching a legendary duelist in action was always an enjoyable experience.
"It seems you have some status in this academy. That's good; otherwise, this would be far too boring," Pierre said, a smirk playing on his lips.
"Duel start! My turn!" You Feng looked at the cards in his hand. He had just selected one of three "casual" decks he had prepared: Burn, Graveyard Removal, and Deck Destruction.
He had ultimately settled on one of them.
"From my hand, I activate the Continuous Spell, Gravekeeper's Servant! Next, I set a monster in face-down defense position and set one card. I end my turn." You Feng was playing a casual deck this time, so he naturally didn't let Holactie possess him.
"My turn! Draw!" Pierre glanced at his card and sneered.
"I'll let you experience the true power of my Gambling Deck! From my hand, I summon the monster Gambling Angel Bunny!"
"In addition, I activate the Continuous Spell, Second Coin Toss!" Pierre revealed two cards in one go and slotted them into his Duel Disk, his smirk widening.
"A Gambling Deck? That's just disgusting," Chazz blinked. He found decks based on luck to be revolting, or at least that's what he told himself.
"Do you really have the right to call someone else's deck disgusting?" Bastion Misawa asked with an awkward smile.
"..." Chazz went silent.
"Ahaha, how interesting. But it looks like You Feng isn't using his original deck either. Come to think of it, just how many decks does he have?" Jaden Yuki felt as if You Feng used a different deck in every single battle.
"Gravekeeper's Servant... the effect of that card is that whenever the opponent declares an attack, they must send the top card of their deck to the Graveyard to proceed. It must be a Deck Destruction strategy." Alexis realized what was happening. Were both of them using casual decks?
