Chapter 110 - Chapter 110: Rhino Far Surpasses Hundred-Ton King

Rhino, Aleksei Mikhailovich Sisyevich, was rampaging through the streets of Manhattan because he needed money. Kingpin had given him two million dollars, which he thought was enough, but it wasn't.

So he broke out of jail, stormed into a bank, directly hauled out the gold from the vault, cradled it in his arms, and then stampeded through the streets, planning to find a place to exchange it for cash. But now he faced two problems. First, he was so huge that no matter where he hid, he couldn't escape various high-tech surveillance. It was only a matter of time before he was caught.

Second, he didn't know how to exchange this money. If Kingpin hadn't been locked up, it would have been easy to say, but the problem was Kingpin was locked up. The only good news was that he brought gold, not dollars, so it should be easier to spend.

And then, there was the third problem.

Dense webs suddenly appeared in front of him, blocking an entire road. Rhino lowered his head, clutching the gold, and charged straight through the thick webs, but didn't notice that a manhole cover beneath his feet had been secretly moved by Spider-Man. He stumbled into the hole and fell to the ground.

"Aleksei, what's going on? Didn't we have a good talk yesterday? The police didn't put you in S.H.I.E.L.D. because of your good behavior, not to make it easier for you to break out."

Peter, while trying his best to stick Rhino to the ground with webs, didn't forget to ask what exactly had happened: "Just got arrested yesterday, and today you're robbing a bank? What were you thinking?"

Rhino honestly replied, "I found out I didn't have enough money, that's all."

Peter Parker sighed helplessly. Sometimes, dealing with honest people was a hassle because they were simply too honest.

"You can't just rob a bank because you don't have enough money. If everyone robbed a bank when they were broke, banks wouldn't be able to open, would they?"

Rhino, who was on the ground and getting up, his mind briefly blanked. After thinking for a while, he finally understood it was a rhetorical question.

"I need a lot of money, and no one will lend it to me."

"Uh... maybe you could discuss it with me, or with Stark? You know, he's pretty rich." Peter tightly bound Rhino with five layers of reinforced webs.

Honestly, Rhino was a troublesome opponent, possibly the first enemy Peter couldn't deal with, even after his recent power upgrade. Osborn, when designing the metal skin, had already considered features to avoid electrical conductivity, and invisibility wasn't very useful for stopping Rhino.

If he were hit by Rhino, it would be no different from being hit by a Hundred-Ton King—and Hundred-Ton King might even be easier to hide from.

However, in response to Peter's suggestion, Rhino simply roared and broke free from the webs with brute force. He stood obediently, picked up the gold bars, then tore open the roof of a nearby car, stating emphatically.

"No!" Rhino wrapped the gold bars around his arm with the car's sheet metal, rejecting Spider-Man's proposal. "I can't do that. That's extortion, blackmail. I need to get the money like this, deliver it, and then get caught by you again."

"That's how bad guys get the punishment they deserve."

Spider-Man was silent.

Spider-Man was shocked.

"No! Dude! Haven't you thought about how much damage you've caused along the way, how many people got hurt? Worse, someone almost died!"

Spider-Man, completely unable to grasp Rhino's logic, wailed. Rhino, however, nodded. He had undoubtedly considered this, and therefore, he was willing to take responsibility. Any punishment beyond a fine, even the death penalty, was acceptable to him.

But before that, he needed to get rid of this money.

So, after grabbing the gold bars, Rhino exerted all his strength to break free from all the webs on his body. Ignoring a full-power electric shock from Spider-Man, he swiftly ran to the side. Peter, meanwhile, held onto his back with webs, pulling hard in the opposite direction.

Theoretically, Rhino hadn't undergone any serum treatments or genetic modifications; there should be an ordinary person beneath that armor. But unfortunately, that was just theory. Peter felt an unprecedented pull from Rhino's run, stronger than Scorpion, even more absurd than the "giant wheel" he once pulled at full throttle.

Undoubtedly, Spider-Man was "taken for a ride" by Rhino. His feet resisted on the ground with all their might for a short while before leaving the ground. Peter didn't react immediately, but then, when he slammed onto the ground, he understood what was happening—he was still holding onto the web, and thus he was being dragged along the street by Rhino.

Okay, time for a different approach.

Tying a web around his waist, Peter began to emulate Bully Maguire, sticking webs to nearby buildings. Continuous strands of web connected to buildings, dragging Rhino, creating enough pulling force to stop the behemoth.

He could feel the pull again; there was no doubt this method was working.

However, just then, Peter saw a burly black man in a hoodie and hood crossing the street with his head down, seemingly completely oblivious to a massive Rhino charging towards him. In a few seconds, Rhino could easily crush the man into pulp.

So Spider-Man shouted loudly.

"Look out!"

But it was too late.

The incredibly strong Rhino crashed into the burly man, sending him flying. But unexpectedly, Rhino actually slowed down because of it. Peter himself was thrown off due to the inertia, forcing him to snap his own webs—otherwise, he might have been pulled back by them.

He landed steadily on a nearby building wall, twisting his head to watch Rhino quickly escape with the gold bars. On the other side, the black man remarkably got up from the ground, unharmed. He looked at his body, which had been hit, with lingering fear, then seemed to understand something. He glanced around, then swiftly ran away.

Peter watched this scene in astonishment. This black man was undoubtedly also a super-powered individual. However, this "victim" wasn't the main problem at the moment; the problem was still the escaping Rhino.

Peter prepared to jump and continue the pursuit, but the air pressure that appeared in mid-air stopped him. A helicopter appeared between the high-rises, slowly descending.

Facing the strong wind from the rotor, Peter shielded himself from the dust brought by the helicopter with his hand, looking at the black, one-eyed "Nick Fury" standing on it, looking at him.

"Forget about Rhino, Spider-Man."

Nick Fury looked at Peter with a serious expression: "Leave him to the Thunderbolts. I need your help. S.H.I.E.L.D. has a big problem now."
