There was silence as Yueli and Elize stood up, their eyes watering and their faces filled with disbelief.
Yueli took a shaky step forward, her lips opened, but no words came out.
Was that some kind of illusion magic? Was her mind playing tricks on her?
"I'm back and..." Yunfei's lips parted, but the words died in her throat. "I'm sorry... for-"
"I don't care!" Yueli shouted as she threw herself into her master's arms, her voice sobbing and her eyes covered in tears.
"Master!" Elize also threw herself into Yunfei's arms, the other girls abandoning their training and running towards her.
"You're really back?" Yueli raised her eyes, feeling her master's hand pass gently over her cheeks, wiping away the tears that were falling down.
"Yes dear, I'm back..." Yunfei was also unable to stop the tears from flowing, increasing the tightness of her embrace.
Twenty years had passed.
Many of them were still small children when she left, promising to come back in a week.
But she didn't.
